What a Week

This weekend was amazing and hell, and the week was simply amazing, and let me say I love my girlfriend. Let's start from the beginning.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday were, in a way three preparatory days for the start of the Academic Semester. The start of the semester as a whole was Band Camp, which was amazing along with the first game (Sat). Perfect.
After the preparatory days were the first days of class. 8:00 Wed. was my Italian class, and I can already tell I am going to love it and embrace the language. I was practicing everything I learned all weekend. At 9:05 was my Stats in Psych class. This class seems like it’ll be a really good one. There are quite a few people from band and PhiBD in there as well. After that class, I will probably work out at the gym in my building before lunch with Sammy. After lunch, with my love I have Theatre. I love having a class with my baby :). This class seems like it will be really fun, except that the teacher gave me a bad first impression. After telling him of band and having to miss class, he basically gave me the impression that if theatre and his class were not my top priority than it would affect my grade. His grading polocy is "would I cast you" which isn't fair becase I'm not going to have the same dedication to it as all the actor's and actoress' in there as far as interference goes.. sigh and that’s my Mon. Wed. and Fri. schedule.
Thurs. I had my African American Music class, which I also will love, it looks amazing and I already know what my first paper is going to be on (funk baby!). Also of course, there are four or so PhiBD members in there as well. My second class on Tues. and Thurs. is the Shakespeare, which should be cool; I just have to be sure not to fall asleep.
Friday morning at about 8:15, the UMMB left for Maryland. We arrived at 5:30 or 6:00 yes; it was a 9-10 hour bus ride. We watched a friend of Parks’ university band practice before we ate and practiced ourselves. They were ok. We slept, of course, on a gym floor at the university. The next day we drove another hour and ½ to Navy. The performance was amazing and equally amazing was getting a “hats off” from a Captain in the Navy, I almost died.
The trip as a whole was amazing and wholly successful. We wanted to go down to a place that had never before seen the UMMB and make an impression, and did we ever. I missed Samantha a lot during the trip though, because we had to practice a lot of the time. Every chance I got though I saw her, like at meals and such. Some people seemed to have a problem with that, and I have something to say to them.
If you have any problem with the way I am or how I do things, I would much rather you say it to my face, and if I’m misinterpreting something, tell me. To hear someone mutter “that’s awkward” as he or she passes Samantha and I, is rude and I don’t appreciate it. It’s not as if we were heavy on PDA or anything of the sort… I don’t know it’s just fucked up is all.
Well I have to go do my homework for my classes tomorrow. Comment.
