Today started off a little bit rough. Erica was supposed to come over to my house this morning so that we could go to Copeland's for lunch and go shopping at the mall. However - she'd had church retreat/camp all week (with little or no sleep each night) and got home last night around 7ish. She didn't wake up today until 2:30 P.M.!!! I had called her and tried to wake her up with no success. By the time she got my missed calls and called me back, I had only 90 minutes until I would have to leave for church. It really sucked that I wasted my entire morning at home (I should have at least completed my accounting homework, but I didn't) when I could have been doing other things or seeing other people.
So anyways, I went to church at St. John the Baptist, only to be coerced into singing as one of the cantors! I know I don't have the prettiest singing voice, but I always do sing on key...
Well, afterwards, Anthony and I went on our semi-"date." To be quite honest, I'd been somewhat dreading it that entire day. Anthony and I have known each other for 4 years, but I never really gave him the chance to "redeem" himself... I had always been wrongly judgmental of him. Plus, he's matured so much since high school. Well, we first went to the church's feast day reception after mass. Then we visited the fire station before eating dinner at Chili's with Lance and Katherine. Afterwards, we went back to Anthony's house while Lance, Katherine, Chris, and his friends all went swimming. I ended up spending the majority of the time chatting / church gossipping with Mrs. Molly.
Each guy I've dated has had very attractive / admirable qualities... each person with different qualities. I think what makes Anthony such a great date is his charm and wit. If only things were different... if I were in BR, he was in Houston, or even back in school... maybe things could happen. But I'm just so happy being single right now that I wouldn't trade it for the world :)
