yesterday was the worst day of my life...
RAWR! my first day at school was supposed to go smooth and be lots of fun...but no! the cosmos have it out for me and it was everything but.
the first thing that went wrong you might ask? i locked my keys in my car. yes, i did. i was extremely frazzled and nervous and lost my head. so i missed my entire orientation because i was running around school w/ the security guy to try and get my car open. i had a scare twice that i wouldn't get it open at all and i would have had to call my dad and he would have crucified me. the first time around, the guy couldn't find the slim jim, but then he found it. then, he couldn't get it to work, but he called his son to the school to help him unlock it. needless to say, i was extremely grateful. i have been graciously dubbed by class of 2007 as "keyless," my endearing new nickname. at least everyone knows who i am...
then, i got the wrong sized uniforms and there was confusion about my schedule. which was gravy compared to the whole car incident...i got that all straightened out thankfully.
THEN, to top of my fabulously horrible night, i got a ticket coming home. i was speeding, but he gave me a "failure to follow traffic control signs" ticket. which was cheaper, but nonetheless still fucking expensive as hell. i'm already in debt as it is, i cannot handle a $115 ticket on top of that. needless to say, i cried on the way home and called everyone i thought that would be awake to bitch to.
i called jamie, because i knew she would be awak. i called col, who didn't answer her phone...then i called johnny and i eventually stopped crying. i was extremely upset to say the least. johnny laughed at me, which actually made me laugh, which made me feel a little bit better. and jamie told me a comical story about her boy problems, which made me laugh too.
thankfully, my dad didn't yell when he found out about the ticket. which made this situation a lot easier to swallow, and mom was okay about it, but still.
