So as I wait impatiently for the time to be 2:55 so that I can go and perform at Hill Auditorium...

I love Henry Fillmore... Sousa has some competition...
We're playing so many things that I've played before.. but it's great because Mike Katz is there;)
And of course our gorgeous assistant director.. John Zastoupil (I think that's how you spell that)

I realized that we don't have a jazz band. Well.. ok we have tons of jazz bands that only MUSIC school students can participate in. We don't have something like Campus Band in Jazz Form. A Jazz Band that anyone can participate in and we don't have like 2342934892384923 shows and have to practice 2384290384902349 hours
So, I have decided to take the initiative and create a University Jazz Band Ensemble for U of M- Ann Arbor. I'm going to find people, buy music, organize it and then go to UARTs and beg for some funding.
Well, of course I must ask my director to see if it is a good idea... but if not I'm still going to make one... it will just have to be not as elaborate.. and we'd only play one piece.. because music is expensive.
So yes.. I'm excited. I might even get Zoot Suits for everyone. lol. This jazz band could be big though... 23 trumpets, 20 trombones 39 saxes, 1 drummer, 2 bass, and a piano player...
Maybe even some clarinets in that mix..
Wow...
Anyways, it's time to go back to Hill for a band concert ;)
