3) What was the best concert I've ever been to?
Also, there was a Make Your Own Flip-Flops stall in town last week. I was kind of tempted to have a go, lol.

The absolute best concert I've ever been to was John Denver at the Greek Theater (next to the Hollywood Bowl). It was just John with a couple of guitars. No backing band. No light show. It was an outdoor venue too so it felt like being at a campfire with a couple thousand of your friends.
Not that you've asked, but the worst concert I've seen was ELO. We had crap seats which were above the amp stacks so we couldn't see the musicians in the back of the stage (like the drummer). Plus there were these two older hippy guys trying to offer me and my friend (still in high school) marijuana. Eewww. Don't remember much about the band's performance.

I had the chance to see John in concert 4 times. The last one was only a few months before his death. He always gave you more than your money's worth whether he was solo or with a full band and chorus. I miss him. :(

John Denver is just... one of those artists that when he crops up unexpectedly on a playlist or Last.FM just makes me smile. Such a wonderful legacy. I don't think any artist can ask for more than that.
