The Bronze's
Open Mic Night
Willow returns to the stage.
To the tune of "The Devil Came Down to Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band altered lyrics "The Master Went Down to Sunnydale" by Mediancat
The Master came down to Sunnydale
he was lookin' for some Hell to raise
He got in a bind
Fell fifty years behind
Wanted the killin' to come in days
Then he ran across this young girl
Carryin' a crossbow and using it right
And the Master swore
On that old cave floor
and said girl, let me show you light
Now you shoot a pretty mean crossbow, girl
But give the Master his due
I say this prison is old
And I need your soul
And I know I'm better than you
The girl said my name's Buffy
But hey, you knew that, right?
And I know my fate
But just you wait
You won't even last out the night
Buffy you sharpen up your stake, Slay out your little heart
'cause Hell's come down to Sunnydale and the Master plays it hard
And if you win you get one night to be a normal girl
But if you lose the Master rules the world . . .
The Master grabbed her by the neck
And he said I'll need your death
And pain shot from his fingertips
As he choked out her last breath
Then he pushed the barrier and left
And he made a evil hiss
And Xander Harris rushed in
And he rescued her with a kiss
[Instrumental]
And when Xander finished
Buffy said thanks I thought the vamp had won
The Master gave me a scare right there
Now I'll show him how it's done
And there was trouble in the Hellmouth
Slay, girl, Slay
The Master's in the world and he's here to stay
Xander's out at Angel's pickin' a fight
Giles, we gonna die
Yes we might
[Instrumental]
The Master raised his head
He didn't know that he'd been beat
And he told that meddling Slayer
That the world lay at his feet
Buffy said, Master, just stay right there
While I flip you on that busted shelf
You're so amped on Hell, you son of a bitch,
Go and see it for yourself
And there was trouble in the Hellmouth
Slay, girl, Slay
The Master's in the world and he's here to stay
Xander's out at Angel's pickin' a fight
Giles, we gonna die
Yes we might
