warped tour 2005!!!!!!!!

Aug 01, 2005 19:14

so yesterday was WARPED TOUR and it was amazinggggggggggggg- ly HOT.  i was dying pretty much all day but i guess it was all worth it.  i got to see a bunch of bands i love and rocked out harder than i have before.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD- omg amazing...slightly listened to them before i saw them and now im hooked.  theyre guitarist looks like a gothier hotter bam margera.  the crowd was going crazy with them and i was right there in the front of it all.  possible bad idea bc now my ribs hurt like a bitch.

we went straight from A7X to ATREYU and omg did i go crazy.  i moshed in pits on each side to determine where the ruffest crowd was, and it was definently the right middle area.  they played all my fav songs and excited me by playin the bon jovi cover. hats off to atreyu man

so after atreyu...i went over to the FIGHT tent cuz i missed them play since they were on at the same time as atreyu.  I chatted a bit with Jak (my fav so hoooot) and k8.  they were cool as always and they told me that they still arent gonna do a tour with Funeral For a Friend no matter how many times i ask. so i jetted out of there.

i had about an hr or so to kill before emery so i went and saw FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND.  they fuckin rocked.  i came in just as they were singing Juneau.  got in a few songs and then jetted over to smartpunk stage to catch emery.

While chilling at smartpunk, i got to hear some MXPX playing at Mike stage...and then the moment i was waiting for EMERY came on.  they came decked out in some hawaiin shirts and were ready to party n play.  I let out most of my energy during their show since they were my main event.  they played two of theyre new songs off the album THE QUESTION comes out AUG 2 (tomorrow).  i was soo excited to see them and well of course, they closed off the set with Walls, a crowd favorite.

From emery, we ran over to THRICE.  probably was not a good idea for me to go into the crowd as hard as i did, seeing as i was already in pain and very close to passing out.  but it was worth it!!  they played Deadbolt, Silouhette, Artist in the Ambulance, Image of the Invisible (new), and my fav To Awake And Avenge The Dead.  plus the entire set was video taped and i was front in all of it.  soo woo hoo for me!

we then went to go see Maryz Eyez play on hot topic stage.  which was cool becuz we got to see how big theyre following has gotten since them playin in kzoo to barely 30 ppl crowds.  They did a good job , and Mike Burlett looked hooooooootttttttttttttt as usual.  altho i wish he didnt cut his hair.  o well ill still take him

maryz eyez meant break before THE BLED.  when they came on it was like a million dollars have been given to me.  i was that god damn excited. they played 5 songs off of Pass the Flask and 2 new songs from theyre upcoming album Found in the Flood (aug 23).  it was amazing.  afterwards, we met up with some of the guys...who in fact remembered who i was.  Jeremy even  commented on the fact that i was not wearing my Murder By Death t-shirt this time around. Ross gave me his guitar pick and signed it after their set.  twas pertty sweet.  we said good bye and told em we'd see them at their next show here with UNDEROATH and THRICE at the STATE THEATRE on OCT 22.  be there

saw part of the Academy Is. but was too tired and sore to get into it.  i let it be and just listened from a seat far away where i could relax.  all in all it was a good time, but i kinda wish i had spent it wit my good friends.  but o well...it has passed and life moves on.

my injuries: bruised back, labored breathing, sore chest right around where my heart is, and a bruised ankle

weather: so hot with occassional clouds

overall verdict: worth every penny! cant wait til next year
