The Sims 3: Legacy Challenge

Aug 07, 2011 02:30

So, sometime within the next few days (probably tomorrow, since I won't have any transportation) I will begin my first legacy challenge.
Naturally I will have some things that aren't quite the same.
I will not be playing with any of the optional rules you can find on the TS3 forum regarding the Legacy challenge.
I will, however, be playing with the following:
Awesome Mod
NRaas Mastercontroller Mod
NRaas Career V59 Mod (including Part-time and Tones mods)

I won't use any of these to actually cheat, but each of them has their own uses.
Awesome Mod adds quite a few different Traits, some hidden, some not.
the NRaas Mastercontroller gives me quite a few game play options, including the use of the Kinsey Scale, the real world way of measuring homosexuality and heterosexuality. So I can have a bit of fun with that, instead of having all of my sims confused. The mod also gives me the ability to actually put a number on how my sim is feeling, instead of guesswork.
The Career mod gives me a number of extra options for my sims to choose from, mainly new part-time jobs for everyone. It opens up some interesting ones like ROTC and Waiter.

I don't intend to use the mods to "cheat" but I will use them to spice up my game play a bit.

As for the creation of my founder, here are my rules:
I roll all of his traits randomly.
If I'm okay with the traits, nothing happens, but if I'm not, things get interesting. (I don't want to play an Insane, Neurotic, Perfectionist, Clumsy, Grumpy sim) If I don't like some of my traits I get a 10-sided die. The first trait is 1 and 6 on the die, the second trait is 2 and 7, and so on. I roll the die twice and switch out the rolled traits with ones of my choice. That way my founder isn't perfect, except by pure luck.
I pick out an acceptable lifetime wish.
I pick his faves.
I get into the game.

Wish me luck! (And my founder, poor sim, lol)
