surround yourself with meaning
i took a moment to look around my desk this evening.
mind you, it's a bit messier than usual, but my desk has so much of my character in it...
i have stationery, a tiara, my clan's crest in badge form
mini books (the little book of shakespeare, candles, scents, celtic myths & legends, and a tolkien treasury)
sketches from my best friend, a portrait of my daughter & myself
a 'green man' sculpture, a chestnut from england, a quartz point (a gift from my best friend), an origami bird by my daughter, mini-silk-roses
a wicker burro from one of my childhood journeys to spain
nail clippers (for the cats!), nail file, folders, cards, receipts, peanuts, cashews, walnuts, CDs, and miscellaneous books
stickers, bookmarks, a small "inquire within" poster (i.e. Be Introspective!), and various computer equipment
what a mess.
