Hrmm.
I must wonder (aloud) what cosmic powers are conspiring this week.
I've gone for years without any confrontation from the Organized Religion followers.
And then twice this week I have encounters. The first a few days ago when bible-thumping ladies come knocking on my front door (it wasn't until I opened the door and saw what was in her hand that I realized who I was about to deal with) and then this morning while snagging food at my local McD's I was approached by someone who started with, "I just gotta ask... are you A Believer?"
My eyes twinkle suspiciously. "A believer in what?"
(look of mild shock) "Why, a believer in Our Lord Jesus Christ!"
*pause, as I choose my words carefully* "Not like you are, no."
(look of greater shock)
End of conversation.
So really, what's with all the campaigning? Election time is over, so now they have to go after my soul? Are the 'followers' that bored?
No thanks. Not interested. I follow my own path.
