In the event of Sarah's arrival to the big city, Zoe had already made up the apartment - to both their likings - and prepared an extravagant dinner with candles and tapestries and fine flatware. Sarah was awestruck upon laying eyes on the new world she was to inhabit.
After what seemed and hour long kiss, so lovely and warm, the two lovers made their way to the dinner table. Now this was no ordinary table, this table was low to the ground made of sweet cherry wood, like a table from an old asian house, but this was only how it was by design. In actuality this table was victorian, with carvings on it of vines and leaves. The top was covered with fine lace and silk. Upon the lace and silk sat little doilies of the same deep red as the silk. Placed squarely in the middle of these doilies were long stem flute glasses. These rimmed with gold, had tiny little imperfections, little bubbles in the glass - this meant they were hand made. Gold candle holders and gold flatware also adorned this stout table. Blood red candle sticks and red plates. It was the most romantic setting Sarah had ever seen in her life. Zoe's style and taste and love was dripped gently over it all, glazing the cake of perfection.
They sat on cloud-like pillows the same red and gold of the silk and lace, and talked for a while. Zoe said she missed her and that dinner would be ready momentarily. She got them champagne, and delicately poured it into both of the glasses kissed with gold and sat down. They drank their glass of champagne and Sarah could already feel the euphoric feelings the alcohol had on her and thought she was never one for drinking. Still she sipped and stared into her lady's eyes as she talked about the apartment and all it's aesthetics. Sarah loved it. All of it. But most of all Zoe.
After dinner Sarah and Zoe sat in front of the television and talked more while not watching the "greatest movie ever."
