(no subject)
This morning:
Fir (Ailm): Objectivity, Perspectives, Relationships, Experiences, Understanding.
Apple (Quert): Beauty, Eternity, Love, Fidelity, Rebirth, Awakening.
Gorse (Ohn): Persistence, Generosity, Resistance, Conclusions.
Yesterday we were without internet for the day...after a lot of effort it turned out the router had died a horrid death. Not terribly surprising given the cheap nature of the piece. We have a new one, obviously, and I also ran a cable through the wall (with permission) so I can directly connect to the cable modem if I have to..a useful thing. I did take the time to do a very thorough and complete scanning of the system, defrag, and general cleanup. I also, finally, got a new keyboard; the old one had nearly all the letters worn from the keys and was feeling its years. The new one isn't any great technological wonder...just a pretty standard USB keyboard. It works.
T gets to try out SCUBA today; I suspect he'll love it after the apprehension wears off. :)
I have enjoyed watching the Olympic Games as I always do. I happen to love curling...that's an awesome sport...and generally most of the others. It'll be another four years before they come around again...if they come around again.
This has a bit of light reading that might interest a few folks. Energybulletin.net is still a very fascinating place.
