Sitting at home last night - booking shoots and looking up reference material - as well as trying to find a good fair priced historical costume, I noticed that it's almost the end of January, and I've just plotted out almost all of the next 6 months of my life. *Scary!*
I've got a lot of 'stuff' going on - and I've just agreed to take on a leading role with a local production company. I have quite literally been offered the part - without the need to audition! So that's quite nice! :o) The show is called 'The Late Edwina Black' its a murder mystery / black comedy, set in the 1930's (Originally set in 1895). I was asked about my interest sunday evening - and met some of the cast last night. Those I met seemed quite nice - and had all seen my performance as 'Emilie' in Les Liaisons Dangerous, which seems to have impressed them greatly! :o)
So what's happened up-till now? Well - I took a deep breath and jumped into the Gothic modelling scene back in July 2006, after years of wanting to do it - and not having the courage or self confidence to do so any earlier. (Too many crap people telling me I'd be making a fool of myself - and that nothing will ever come from it, suffering from physical and mental abuse from my fiancé at the time, etc, etc! Pah! Early days - but I'm showing em!)
I've worked with extremely talented photographers and models alike - many of whom I now count as close friends, (You all know who you are!) and most of them get on with my lovely other half too! Bonus!
My highlight last year modelling wise - was organising a shoot with Fozzie and
demondaz,
after spotting Daz's Dark Arts forum post looking for work - and thinking 'hmmmmm, nice lookin lad - local - comes with own fangs... Something can be done here!' ;o) So I organised dates etc and accommodation for Fozzie and Daz (ended up having a wee dinner party afterwards, with the wonderful cooking of my partner
spiggot_space)location for shoot, travel and storey bored etc. And I've gotta say - it's the best shoot I've had to date! I've also had an awful lot of recognition for doing this shoot, Daz being a web-savy lad, has posted our pics all over the place! (I cant keep up! He must like em a lot! :oD lol!) I'm just so damn proud of what we managed to achieve in such a short time frame!
Looking onwards:
I 'should have' a shoot this Sunday evening, modelling a very nice red latex dress - weather permitting of course! And some other shoots later on. What I'm really looking forward to - is the Nuclear Bunker shoot in Feb, there's an awful lot of people going - most of whom I know and a few are good friends - so looks to be a fun and eventful evening! There's plenty more on the way - but feb looks to be very eventful!
This Saturday - we should be getting back from a friends in Cambridge - then heading off to London for a Fetish Burns night event! Haggis and whips and PVC! What more could you ask for?! ;o)
So - Busy lil Druidess! lol! Just how I like it! :o)
