Heeeeey!
Look, look, late-night internet!!! And it's not Thursday!
The lovely and wonderful Gregory from Belgium set my laptop up on the wireless network here and now I can use the internet when I finish working! However, I've promised myself that I won't be online over-frequently. Last year (and many many years running into that) was horrible with my excessive internet use and obsession with my laptop. Okay, I'm still obsessed with my laptop, but I'm taking a serious break from being an internet NUT.
Things have been really okay. Bordering on insane boredom, as per usual, but okay. I've decided that when I get home I'll take French with Auntie Laverne, maybe just for two weeks. Working at the Kids' Club is great, even if I can't speak to one of my favourite kids cos she speaks French. She's really admirable as she's always trying to learn more italian and Spanish.
Y'know, working there in the mornings, I've found that I've been trying to have one smooth day, at least one, but there's always something that happens to mess it up, like a child or two getting lost (my bad...) or someone getting a cut or crying or a game not ending well... And I've come to figure that there isn't ever going to be that "perfect day." Children are children and it's their duty, right even, to get into fixes like that. So what if one (or two) got lost (hey, I can't watch them ALL the time!)? It's a hotel, there's only so lost a child can get.
Anyhow, on a completely different note: Can you imagine working in a place jam-packed with italians when Italia is winning every match it has been in in the World Cup? It's utter insanity. I really felt it for the Germans today, they looked so sad.
But, here's my two whoops off joy.
Whoop!
Whoop!
I'm not really sure what sort of person says "whoop," but apparently it's me.
I've got to run, I promised to meet Ariel at La Placita in 1 minute.
Love! Things are okay! I'm okay!
