Dream Journal: Palettes

Feb 25, 2013 13:37

Last night I had a dream where I was walking or driving behind a strip shopping center, back where the loading docks and back doors are. One I was going by had it's loading dock doors open and workers were moving trash barrels and shipping palettes and other warehouse-type stuff around. Lately in real life I've been seeking spare/scrap shipping palettes for a construction project so I'm sure that's where this part of the dream came from. I walk closer to the loading dock and there's this grizzled old cowboy looking guy who is apparently the shop owner down in the parking lot near me so I ask him if he has any extra shipping palettes. He thinks about it in his ponderous cowboy type way then says "Yea, I probably got a couple... I'll leave 'em out back if I do." He then suggests that I also try next door at this shop that makes custom smokers and grills, a few of which are sitting out back of that shop next door. These smokers and grills are nice! Brand new, never used, new paint, etc. Then I woke up.
