Dream Journal: Face Photo Resolution and Distortion

Sep 16, 2012 13:09

I just woke up from a dream where I went into a store full of pirate stuff. Hats, swords, other piratey gear... In my dream I knew I had been there before, so I went to a particular shelf that had some things that I remembered wanting to look at, but the shelf was empty. I walked around the store a bit more and towards the back there was a wall with some strange photos of faces on them. Some of them were very blurry like the pixels making up the picture had been gone over with a Photoshop blur filter and all of them were at different states of blur and resolution than the others. There was a couch sitting in front of them a few feet across the room and on the couch was Angi. I sat down next to Angi and we watched as the pictures came in and out of focus, apparently as these strange clay sculptures below them were twisted and turned. [REDACTED] We got up off the couch to play with them and the one I was playing with had a crude sculpture of some big fat lips around a slightly opened mouth. As I turned the lips counter-clockwise the picture above them became sharper and the pixels swarmed and rearranged into the face of an old Russian woman wearing a babushka. As I turned it clockwise, the pixels swarmed and rearranged and become more and more blurry until it pretty much resembled a Rorschach ink blot test but with blurry edges. Then I woke up.
