Weekend Update

I was quite busy this weekend and overall had a great time... Friday night I left work and headed out to the Dallas 2600 meeting. It was fairly uneventful but I got to catch up with xx25 for a while which I haven't had an opportunity to do in quite a while. Once I got home I bleached my hair and went to bed early...

Saturday morning we woke up early and stopped by my employer's rummage day before heading out of town. I scored two nice monitors, a coffee table, and a whiteboard. I dropped the monitors off at Chuck's afterward so I wouldn't be hauling them to Austin and back. Three hours later we arrived in Austin and headed to Angela's salon. She used me as a guinea pig to try out the permanent green hair color she now has access to, and my hair came out a very nice dark emerald. I really like it, so next month I'll probably have her completely bleach my hair again, re-dye it, and maybe add some lighter green streaks or highlights or something. After the salon we went by Wendy's apartment for a while and watched a movie and visited. After Wendy headed out on a date, we headed over to Coy & Shaunna's house for dinner. We had filet mingon and salmon as well as really good mashed potatos. After stuffing ourselves we all headed out to the farewell party for Feedback. I had no idea what the lineup was going to be, but I was pleasantly surprised. Highlights included Toy, Rob Vaughn, Merrick, and Mel fucking blew the dancefloor up, even in the rain. It's always a treat to hear Mel, I love the eclectic track selections that he's able to put together well. Much later in the morning we all headed back to the West's casa and went to sleep. I'm VERY sore from dancing.

Sunday I woke up somewhere around 3pm. Shaunna made some really good eggs and bacon and we all had breakfast while the Eagles stomped the shit out of the Packers during the first half of the football game... 3 hours later we were back in Dallas, taking care of random things and then going to bed early. I now have a meeting in the office first thing on Monday mornings, so I can't chance being late on Mondays anymore. Bleh.
