So:
On Thursday I went to see the Talladega Nights with some kids from work (Nicole, Bae, and Nicole's friend Andrea). Wasn't bad, actually; pretty much just a more pedestrian Anchorman, but it had it's moments.
Friday saw me hanging out at Nicole's with Isla and Bae, after FINALLY GETTING MY GODDAMN PAYCHECKS. We watched movies and gossiped and such; it was fun. I'm still convinced Isla is hitting on me, which would be pretty much totally awesome if she didn't have a boyfriend already. Homey don't play that.
On that day after Friday Kala and Tara rode the train down from the hills for the Death Cab For Cutie concert. We got lunch in North Beach and went shopping around Union Square, before heading across the water to Berkeley for the concert. The show was actually pretty okay; Death Cab were pretty fun, and Spoon opened. I like Spoon. During/following the show we met up with Frank and Kortney, and we all got dinner at Au Coquolet. That was probably the best hamburger I've ever had, I ain't gonna lie. That entire night pretty much underlined the fact that I have no life outside Starbucks, though.
I crashed on the floor of Kala and Tara's hotel room that night. I got up at like 7:00 to BART myself back across the Bay so I could go home, take a shower, get changed, and go to work for my tiny-assed little shift. 10:00-2:15? Jesus Christ, why even bother? Anyway, in lieu of going home or anything, Nicole and I went out to get lunch. We ended up at the Metreon in downtown; she had fries and mash-ed potatoes, and I had noodles. It was pretty sweet.
Oh! I bought shoes while we were out. I got a pair of grey-and-white, and a pair of plain black chucks; both low-top. I've never had low-top Converse before. It's like a whole new world to me. I also bought a tie-rack. Is it bad that I'm totally looking forward to organizing my ties?
After food, we went back to her place and hung for a bit. Bae showed up after a while; we watched Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah, it wasn't funny the last time just because I was drunk, it is actually a pretty awesome film. I had work at 6:30 the next morning (today) so I just crashed at Nicole's place. I got off about and hour-and-a-half ago, (another princess shift) and now I'm finally gonna change out of the clothes that I have literally been wearing for 24 hours. I probably don't smell too great.
I might go get my hair cut today. I'll probably also go to DeathGuild tonight; Jessa said she'll be there. I haven't seen her in weeks, that'd be pretty awesome.
