I'm sort of in the same situation as you Pammy, but not.
Here's the deal. My cousin Danielle has 3 kids. One is 10, one is 3 or 4 and the other is almost 2. Danny is STRESSED OUT. Her husband never helps her with the kids and is actually like a lil kid himself. He makes her make him dinner and such. Anyway, I've offered to watch her kids many times before. I really like baby sitting, I don't know why. I told her it would be free of course and she was like, 'OH NO! I pay you and everybody wins.' It went back and forth for a while until I finally gave in.
But then she offered to watch Bam if I ever needed someone. I would love to take her up on it, but I wouldn't have the money to pay her. And after all that time she argued about paying me, there's no way I can't. So basically I'll never be able to take her up on it.
Her husband is leaving town for business around the 13th. She said she's probably call me before that, but if she doesn't I'll call her on the 13th. It'll be a bit hard watching either her 2 or 3 kids (depending on the day) plus Bam... But I don't think she'll mind Will coming over to help me.
I do want to re-assure her that Will being there won't be like the 15 year old baby sitters that invite thier boyfriends over. But I don't know what to say...
Basically I'm in a bind with Will being there, asking her to watch Bam (Which I probably never will), and having her pay me. I wouldn't mind not getting paid unless her kids totally wear me out or something. But if she insists on paying me I'll take it...
