1. A few weeks ago, I dropped a full glass of milk on the carpet. I'm not sure how many people actually witnessed the event, but if memory serves, 4 others were present. Possibly 5. There was no precipitating event. I was holding the milk, and then I wasn't.
1a. No, thank you, I did not cry over it.
2. A short while after (1) took place, I dropped a nearly-full cup of coffee on the same carpet, about 5 feet away from the site of incident (1). At the time, the power had either just gone out, was about to go out, or perhaps the tremendous force of my talent caused it to go out at that very moment, we can't be sure. It's something to consider. As in (1), I have no awareness of a cause; the mug was being held, and then it was not.
2a. Either a few days before or a few days after incident (2), I spilled milk and Raisin Bran on my bed. This doesn't count as a full incident, however, as it was really my overfilling of the bowl and movement on the mattress that caused it, not my sheer inability to hold a simple object.
3. Just now, as I entered the room, I dropped my Dr. Pepper on the floor, indeed on the same carpet, midway between sites (1) and (2). Again, no cause.
3a. I spent much of today claiming I was going to go out, either to the pool or to the store (I need much food and also a contact case, as mine seems to have been left at the Boy's place last weekend). I finally dragged myself out of the apartment at about 3:50, returned once for my cell phone and a towel, and settled by the pool at around 4 pm. By 4:10ish I was leaving again due to thunder.
3b. I then left the pool and walked towards the bus stop to check on the schedule posted that, at which point my purse strap broke.
3c. And finally returned to my appartment, purse in hand, Dr. Pepper in hand, keys in hand, towel in hand, and though if I recall the Dr Pepper did in fact have its own hand (except when I needed to use the keys, when it had its own teeth), you will recall that it did not remain there.
Conclusion: I am infinitely talented, or else am somehow biologically incapable of holding rounded objects for periods of over a minute in my left (?) hand.
