I finished reading the book a few days ago but hadn't gotten around to updating on here. I loved it, it was brilliant. I got a bit confused around the middle of the book so I had to read super slowly but other than that. it was great.
What's really REALLY irking me off at the moment is the DH discussion forum on SS. They're posting questions and what not about it, finding what they think are mistakes and some people, who understand the book slightly more (or have more of an imagination) are trying to help answer questions with their theories. Do they bother to read them? Like hell they do! I'm sitting here, reading what I wrote as a response and then a load of people after me are asking questions that I and other people have already given our theories on! It would be nice if they acknowledged our theories at least, but they don't. Sometimes I feel like telling them to read what other people have written but I'm sure that would be a bit mean to all of the younger ones who are being moddycoddled by the SS Mafia, who ban you rather than kill you.
Now I've had that rant, I have a few general Harry Potter questions myself:
1) How on earth did the students get to Hogwarts before steam trains were invented? I know for a fact that steam trains havn't been around for 1000 years!
2) How do the Headmasters go from being alive to being in a portrait? They may have painted them before but then surely they'd look alot younger than when they died...
3) Are there any portraits of the founders in the castle?
4) And most importantly.... Does a Blibbering Humdinger actually exist?
