Because there are indeed quiet things that no one ever really knows, secrets exist. Underlying themes caused by secrets may be fleeting, but their effects are permanent. Certain people make cameos in our lives and they play their part beautifully. But sometimes we overlook the fact that maybe they wanted to stay for much longer. We were probably just too indifferent (or stupid) to ask, to know, to understand.
