okay, so aside from when I met Paramore back in 07, wednesday night was the best night of my life.
i saw morrissey. morrissey. do you get that? motherfucking morrissey. OH MY GOD MORRISSEY.
he opened with this charming man. I totally teared up during that song. It was great, though, seriously. He played four Smiths songs and a crapload of stuff from Years of Refusal (which is an amazing album, by the way, go get it now)...best show I've seen this year, by far. If he ever gets around to re-scheduling the Atlanta and Asheville shows, I'm definitely heading down there...
speaking of shows, I've got the Paramore/No Doubt tour coming up in June in Charlotte...$96 for pit tickets...but they're gonna be so worth it, assuming that Paramore plays a GOOD setlist. I'd kill for some AWKIF...especially All We Know, Franklin, Whoa, Conspiracy, and hell, even Brighter. Just throw one of those in there and I'll be happy (but, I'll probably be happy regardless of what they play...I'll be too busy staring at hayley the entire time like usual). part of me really wants to head to atlanta in may to see Jack's Mannequin again, but it's the saturday before finals and I'm broke...but I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to go!
finishing up my music section, I've been listening to these albums like crazy lately:
The Get Up Kids - Guilt Show (fuck blink 182 and no doubt...this is the real reunion)
Morrissey - Years of Refusal (nothing needs to be said)
Say Anything - ...Is A Real Boy (I really disliked this band for so long...why? I have no idea, because this album is probably one of my favorite albums ever)
New Found Glory - Not Without A Fight (the first physical CD I've bought new since RIOT! and The Glass Passenger...yeah, that says enough)
This Providence - Who Are You Now? (I don't know if I like it as much as the s/t...but Waste Myself makes me love it automatically)

anyways, not much going on right now...just trying to enjoy this last real night of spring break. didn't do too much, but hung out with a few cool people and that made the entire thing worth it. unfortunately, I kind of put off doing all of my homework until today, and I've got a huge theatrical design presentation due tuesday (model, floorplans, light plots, costumes, the whole shebang) and I've got some shitty costumes and a sped model done...I need to do that...and a paper for my shakespeare class (one paragraph done! thanks for the help itunes and american pie 2!)...complete memorization of tennessee williams's "talk to me like the rain and let me listen" (have most of it memorized, but just iffy on some lines)...study for a polisci test...costume for grapes of wrath...and I think that's it...I think, haha. not too bad, I've got until at least tuesday for most of it, so I'll get under pressure and kick some ass in the next few days! hopefully...really, I hope I do...haha...I'm really trying to start the whole running thing again, too! like, back up to 70mpw...I ran to the pinnacle on sunday, and oh boy, I kicked that thing's ass :)
well, I guess this works for a totally random LJ entry, doesn't it? hopefully I might write again soon...I'm just procrastinating right now :D
