Harry:: Sarah?
Sarah Jane : Hello, Harry
Harry : I've missed you
Sarah Jane : I've missed you too. Have you been taking care of yourself properly? Eating more than pot noodles?
Harry : Only a few. When I haven't had time for anything else. What about you? Been taking care of yourself? Not too many dangerous assignments, I hope?
Sarah Jane : Not all my assignments are dangerous, in fact some are rather boring.
Harry : Good! *recovers slightly* I mean, good, that would be a nice change of pace.
Sarah Jane: *eyes you* I know you worry, Harry, but I can look after myself.
Harry : *sigh* I know you can Sarah, I know you can. You've proven it a lot of times.
Sarah Jane : *softly* But you still worry
Harry : *quietly* yes, I do. I never know if this is going to be the time they're just that little bit faster, stronger or deadlier. If this is the time I sit at home and wonder when you come back when you're dead already.
Sarah Jane : Oh, Harry. I'm sorry. I hadn't even thought of that.
Harry : *quietly* I know you're alright when you come back. Until then I don't.
Sarah Jane : There's not much I can do about that. Often I'm not in a situation where I can contact you until I'm done.
Harry : *quietly* I know. I know that's your job and your life, but *Shrugs* that's why I worry when I don't hear from you.
Sarah Jane : I can't change who I am and what I do. *quietly* I need to make a difference, not live my life on what ifs.
Harry : I wouldn't want to change who you are, or what you do. I l...I want you to stay who you are. Just promise me I have a way of finding out what happened to you?
Sarah Jane : I can't promise something I have no control over, I'm sorry. But I will promise to do my best to do so. If it is at all possible, you will know. *pauses* I have you listed as my contact person if something does happen. There's no family left now with Aunt Lavinia gone so you're the closest I have.
Harry : *nods* you've been my emergency contact for a long time now. Jane is..not competent to make decisions. Can we at least agree that you leave copies of any leads or information somewhere? Say online? I promise not to look unless I have to find you
Sarah Jane : *nods slowly* I have a LJ now. I could filter a post for you maybe?
Harry : or even just send an email, I promise I won't open it until I know htere is a problem. Its not that I need to know the details, I need somewhere to start if I have to find you
Sarah Jane : *nods* I can do that, maybe something on a time delay? Or K9 could contact you
Harry : *nods* that would work, assuming for the moment his programming will allow for it
Sarah Jane : *rolls eyes* With K9 who knows of late?
Harry : we could ask him?
Sarah Jane : We could. The direct approach does seem to work on occasion. *slight laugh* That
reminds me of the Doctor.
Harry : *laughs* that only worked if there were jelly babies involved. *rolls eyes* or a chance of us being killed
Sarah Jane : That happened a little too often for my liking, although at times I must admit I miss that adrenalin rush.
Harry : I miss..I miss a lot of it. I miss making a difference. I miss spending time together *smiles at you*
Sarah Jane : *smiles back* I miss that back of it too. *shakes my head* When did we stop spending so much time, Harry? It seems to have got worse over the last year or so.
Harry : *quietly* sometimes I wonder if we've been drifting apart. I know I haven't seen enough of you.Not this year, or last. Though in some ways at the time I was glad about it.
Sarah Jane : In what ways?
Harry : *turns away and potters with the hot plate* I didn't always want you to know what was going on. When we found out about the Illithid I hoped you wouldn't get involved. That you were off somewhere else in wales with a different set of zombies
Sarah Jane : Our paths keep crossing, Harry, and we do work well together. *shakes my head* one lot of 'zombies' was enough, it would have been worse if it hadn't been the same thing
Harry : *smiles* yes, we do. *hands you coffee* I don't know, if yours had have been some of the local teenagers it wouldn't have been so bad
Sarah Jane : *takes the coffee* Things happen the way they are meant to often, but even so we still need to prod a bit to get them that way
Harry : *shrugs* Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe we need to make things the way we want them to be. Maybe if they aren't its our own fault
Sarah Jane : *nods slowly* I think I've spent too much time thinking about the past, I'd like to move forward and focus on that. Get to know each other again
Harry : *smiles softly* I'd like that.
Sarah Jane : We've both missed out on too much. I want to change that. I do enjoy your company, Harry, even if I haven't been around much of late to do so.
Harry : I enjoy yours. I'd like to see more of you, if we can find time. I was wondering if at some point you'd like to bring K9 along and we can see how he and Sammie compare in terms of training and capabilities?
Sarah Jane : Tht might be very interesting
Harry : adn maybe we can find out if K9 would be prepared to keep some information if need be
Sarah Jane : *nods* yes, I think that is something that definitely needs investigating
Harry : Today, perhaps?
Sarah Jane : It is as good as any other.
