I was working with Bill, against the clock** to finishing laying 3/4" wood floor. Every day after work, I'd head over and crank out some more floor. Last day, we were doing the closet, made more difficult because it has the crawlspace access in the floor. This required very careful cuts.
Yes, I saw the accident coming 3/4 of a second before it happened. The saw was too loud for me to shout a warning before the *WHAM*. A piece of flooring was at the far front edge of the blade, and got sucked in while he was cutting the other piece. The good news is he still has opposable thumbs. The bad news is he now has something in common with his favorite football team's quarterback, Jay Cutler - a badly busted thumb.
