One for you...
What a week.
Work was oddly perfect....busy enough to keep my brain focused on work, but not so busy the wheels fell off. I had no annuals with Unexpected Issues on labwork, and no disaster cases (well, no immediate ones. I have a cockatiel that may be circling the drain next week) and everything I did admit was a day case and went home by afternoon. No hospitalized critters, every thing I did wrapped up neatly by the end of the day. I even started each day WITHOUT any hangover messages from the day before. That never happens. Yet, still very productive.
I could not have designed a better work week for myself.
I think I have most of my ducks in a line for the following week. I did not get horses packed (though I have tags pulled and all that) so I think I will drive up from VA on Friday, crash out an hour or so here packing nags and then head north east to RI. I have my ticket for Saturday night in a safe place, and the cameras and chargers and all that crap ready to roll. I may get another card for the Canon though. We'll see how much time I have to screw around at Best Buy tomorrow.
Nay Nay and Pia brought me a section of today's paper with a mention of Al at PNC for next Sunday. I really love my current group of co-workers. Nay Nay has even offered to throw herself in front of a rampaging hamster for me. :D
I am looking at racking about 1500 miles on the cruiser this week and a half. Part of me is looking forward to the driving. I like driving. I did not get my licence until I was 21, but I think I now drive more than anyone else. Hopefully it will be Driving and not Sitting in Traffic. Dave made a CD for me to amuse myself on the road, and I'm looking forward to hearing it.
One more day of work before I go On Tour....I am gonna go unplug, I think.
