Totally makes sense. Now I'm connecting it back to your Holly-Murphy story, and realising even if he had someone trying to be a friend to him, Sean is the only one who could possibly have a grip on who he is now. For all that Victoria and Holly only have a filtered view of Toby, that's still a lot more than any friends - new or old - would have. (Yes, I had Sean explain exactly that to Chris, but now suddenly I'm grasping it a little more.)
Yes, I lovely sexy short and nerdy haircut! And a shave. It's always a writing battle whether that's a necessary symbol of Toby's mental state or beaten-to-death cliché.
I want to know what happened too! More than anything I want to know what happened between Victoria and Chris, but I don't know that either.
Obviously, if you ever want to write that rock star AU, I will fully support you...
See, this is what we share. We both want to get Sean laid, but we're both like, "Tim? Really? Does it have to be Tim?"
Yes, this story finished fast! My god, I really have no comprehension how I did this for 63 chapters. Longer chapters. That needed a lot more re-writing. For a story I cared about more deeply. While keeping up dance classes that are currently sidelined by injury. Where on earth did I find the time???

LOL
You know, Terry Kinney seems like a lovely person, and he's certainly a great actor who has done some wonderful things for the arts, BUT ... he isn't exactly heartthrob material. And I know it's shallow, but I admit that his lack of physical appeal has been my biggest hurdle in making Tim/Sean my second-favorite Oz pairing. (I'm actually willing to overlook some of Tim's more annoying traits, because I think Sean would find them amusing or interesting or challenging.) I accept the pairing more due to lack of decent alternatives.
I know there's a sizable amount of Sean/Ryan out there, but I've never been able to see that, which is a bummer because the two of them are probably my favorite characters after B/K, and they did have some nice moments together in the show. Part of the problem is that I see Ryan (don't laugh) as someone mostly asexual. I don't really see him as gay (which I'm sure he'd be relieved to know), but I don't see him as straight, either, despite his relationships with Gloria and Claire. I think my mentality on that can be attributed to my love and appreciation of his familial relationship with Cyril (and Suzanne, to a lesser extent), which is what I think really defines his character.
I generally find attractive personality makes the character physically attractive to me. I don't know if Sean caught my attention before we got to know the character, because he's more 'nice face' than 'headturner', but easygoing guy who stands by his principles is my crack. (Sean confessing to Glynn about slashing Morales' tendons was pure pornography to me.)
But McManus - though a fantastic and enjoyable character - is not the slightest bit sexy in personality.
Also I just don't find any... bite? to the pairing. I can enjoy the slash onscreen when it's there, but there's no underlying tension to make them interesting together.
Sean/Ryan doesn't grab me either. I'm less sure why, because that would be a pairing with tension, but... nah. Maybe because blonds aren't my thing. I love love the Ryan/Gloria relationship, but I'm not driven to read or write it.

So, Sean and Tim it is.
