TM Challenge 104: What are you happy about right now?
Simon felt certain that if he just focused on the learning, the training, the studying he was doing, pushing himself as hard as he always had, that ... happiness would return. He had mountains of material to memorize, piles of potions to peruse, seas of spells to study... Soon he would forget the boy he'd met... and loved for a brief time. Soon he would stop seeing that face with the green eyes and black tousled hair falling over golden brown skin in his mind's eye.
There was certainly enough to distract him, what with all the other students, and several of the teachers, Professor Renke in particular...
He was truthfully delighted at the sudden turn of events; his acquisition of a wand and the discovery that he could do 'magic' far outweighed any disappointing end to a brief but delightful relationship.
And yet ... he couldn't help wondering... and worrying. Adrian hadn't said good-bye... and hadn't owled once since he left.
Simon shook his head and bent over the latest book once again. We had a nice night and that's the end of it.
He noticed he was still on the same page as he'd started at hours ago and gave it up for the night.
I hope he's happy.
Simon put away his book and prepared for bed, feeling distinctly unhappy.
