Red chain of fate [1/?] anonymous July 16 2013, 18:14:15 UTC
As the sun slowly rose above Ikebukuro, two figures still kept destroying the city in the spur of their chase. One had to wonder whether they had any idea about the time they spent running around (sometimes in circles) but to them it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

The one being chased climbed on a nearby roof and jumped down the wall as if he wasn't even human. It was like watching a cat - elegant, smart and quick. On the other side there was the one giving a chase - slightly taller man carrying a signpost - yes, a signpost in his right hand, using the second one to help him spring up and almost fly over the wall. A few bricks crumbled under the force he used and fell down on the ground, shattering upon the impact. Both men were breathing heavily already, tired because of the long exercise.

Shizuo, the older one, threw the signpost at Izaya, almost managing to hit his target but failing because of the younger male dodging and then jumping on the balcony of a familiar apartment. But they didn't notice who the flat belonged to yet so they just kept doing what they knew best - fight.

Shizuo picked up a streetlight soon, succesfully making the street go even darker and tried to take Izaya down with it. His lungs burned already - and he didn't even notice his bleeding knuckles yet - so he didn't even try to get on the balcony too. As he swung the makeshift baseball bat at the raven, he let out a loud cry, startling a cat on the nearby tree. The unlucky feline fell from the branch she sat on - thankfully landing on its 'feet' (or rather paws) and ran away, hissing quietly.

But unfortunatelly, instead of hitting the person above him, Shizuo managed to break the huge window behind him, Izaya safely escaping inside with a snicker.

-and just as quickly running outside straight into Shizuo's arms, followed by a huge sticky shadow-like substance trying to reach for him.

Shizuo groaned as Izaya knocked him down by falling on his chest, tangling their limbs awkwardly. After hissing - not very unlike the cat from before - Izaya rolled over so that he wasn't straddling Shizuo anymore. But as soon as their eyes landed on the person in front of them, both paled slightly before trying to scramble to their feet and escape from the creepy shadows.

There, on the balcony stood a very, very enraged Dullahan - Celty Sturluson. She was weilding a huge black scythe in her hands and trembled with fury, her shadows overflowing and swallowing anything in their way. Before either of the men could escape, she wrapped them in her shadows and lifted them inside the apartment.

The entire window was shattered, the glass all over the floor. Izaya looked down annoyed when one of the shards got stuck in his shoe.

On the couch sat one really tired Shinra, yawning, in his PJs. Celty immediately thrust the PDA screen in front of them.

[WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING!!!]

"Courier-san, is that a question? Because there are way too many exclamation ma-mmhph"

Celty's shadows cut Izaya's speech short by forming an unpromptu gag.

[Never mind] she kept on typing, often having to delete some letters she wrote wrong out of sheer frustration.

[You two have done enough damage! I'm tired of your childish fights already! Shizuo I know that Izaya is a bastard and deserves anything that goes his way-]

"Nnn!" Izaya tried arguing.

[-but you can't disrupt other people's lives with your petty hatred!]

And with those words said, or rather written, she created shackles out of her shadows, black and shiny around both of their wrists.

"Celty?" Shizuo finally decided to speak up nervously when she started to swing her scythe towards their connected arms.
