totally stealing the idea from an SPN prompt ;;

Kida's alone and mopey on his birthday because Mikado and Anri forgot or are on a date, idk (and idc). He comes across Shizuo, who feels sorry for the kid and ends up taking him on the awesomest fucking date ever. Bonus points for making out somewhere romantic like a Ferris wheel (I CAN BE CLICHE TOO GUYS), purikura despite Shizuo being reluctant and uh...overall date-y fluff!

I'd prefer for this to be more fluff than sexytimes, but I'm okay with whatever any potential author!non chooses - just, I'd like it if Kida doesn't feel obligated to do anything to/with Shizuo because of the date.

Don't want to gave a fasle hope, but might fill this, if in perennial conflict between the simple lack of time and the dumb laziness will win the desire to write this wonderful request.
Though I don't think I cold do a fluff thing, it's not my cup of tea. But I like this paring and we're laking it now. So if OP don't mind my clumzy attempt, I could try.

Different author!anon here. GOING TO ATTEMPT THIS. Let's see if I'll actually finish it. orz So totally a WIP sitting on my harddrive that hopefully will NOT be collecting dust...

Some beginning notes:
- mainly drew two-part inspiration from chapter 124 from Nodame Cantabile, “It wasn’t anything special, yet it was something very special...”
- the title “Faust” has a heavier-than-intended connotation. Don’t worry, it won’t end angsty!

It’s not anything special, really. June nineteenth doesn’t mean anything at all. Even if it is the second June nineteenth he can spend with Mikado now that the boy’s moved to Ikebukuro. Even if it is the third June nineteenth that he doesn’t have to deal with blood in a while. Even if it is the fourth June nineteenth that he doesn’t (theoretically) have to spend alone.

Even if it is June nineteenth, and he turns seventeen today ( ... )

It doesn’t seem like he’s been wandering for that long, but when Masaomi looks up at the sky from the nth window he’s peering into, the streetlights are already flickering on in sequence down the road. Masaomi loves the city at night; it’s like a different landscape once people get off work, sitting in the numerous izakaya that adorn the streets of Ikebukuro (and Russia Sushi, of course, if Simon’s constant advertising has any effect). Just for a moment, their worries would be left outside of the pub, and they can drink themselves drunk before facing reality again.

Sometimes, Kida wishes he can be like that.

He kicks at the pavement again. The teddy bear in the display window seems to be mocking him. Laugh all you want, you silly bear. No one’s taken you off the shelf yet.

OMG! This is so good, and somewhat cute too~
please update soon I can't wait to see when things start to heat up XD
it's a very promising start and you keep them somewhat IC too, I like that :D
