“Namie~” Izaya trilled as he stepped into the apartment. The semi-disgruntled woman didn’t even glance up, though her brow creased in mild annoyance at the interruption in her work.
“What?” she asked flatly, pausing in typing on the computer.
“Take the day off.”
“Why?” She really didn’t mind getting let off early (more time with Seiji, after all), but after being in for only two hours? “There’s a catch, I know it.”
“Me? Catch? No no, my wonderful Namie! Oh, it stings me deep to realize you think of me so!” Izaya clutched at his heart after a dramatic twirl. Namie’s eye twitched.
“… you know what, I don’t care. I’ll be in tomorrow.” She stood up, brushing past him before a flash of blonde behind him caught her eyes. She paused, turning to look down and quirking an eyebrow in question. “Is … that …?”
“Hmm?” Izaya grinned.
Shizuo Heiwajima stood behind Izaya, glaring up at Namie for apparently ever noticing he was there. His fingers were twitching in the obvious need to hurl something in anger, but it was made slightly less threatening seeing as he didn’t even reach her knees and his was swathed in his normal bartender clothes.
“…” She truly had no words for how surreal the situation was. “… bye.” And she swished out the door in her long coat, because this was too weird for her to even want to bother with.
