When the girl had stood up, brushed off none of the filth that clung to her lacy white dress primly, and then suddenly launched herself into his arms with an exclamation of laughter, Heiwajima Shizuo, quite frankly, had no idea what to do. He went with his second or third instinct and panicked childishly, trying to push away her pudgy face with both hands, while his body writhed in vain of escape.

No girl had ever tried to hug him after he’d launched twenty-four foot tree into the air right by her ear. Shizuo really had no idea what to do.

It was then he heard Kasuka, speaking out softly into the air.

“Brother…”

Shizuo snapped towards him as the girl snuggled her face into his chest, mumbling on eagerly about something. The boy stood with his arms motionless to the side a few feet away, gaze a little stranger than usual, and soft pink lips upset. “Kasuka!” he squeaked, feebly. His face then turned abruptly all the more scarlet because of the pathetic noise that he had just emitted from his mouth. “Help!”

Before Kasuka could play knight to his damsel in distress however, the girl suddenly detached herself from his body, bounding back excitedly. Heiwajima Shizuo squawked, falling over backwards with his arms still flailing in the air.
