Ask me to take a picture of any aspect of my life that you're interested in - it can be anything from the house I live in to my favorite shoes. Leave your choice here as a comment, and I will reciprocate by taking the pictures and posting them as an LJ entry. That way you get to know a little bit about my life, if you're remotely interested in it. (stolen from
aokiyai )
I have too much to talk about, so let's do this in numbers! :D
1. I'm number seven singles for badminton. For those of you who don't know how it works, there are ten singles and five doubles, going from one to ten or five, one being the highest and the hardest and the best. Granted, I'm not all that disappointed in being number seven, considering that some girls aren't in singles or doubles. I'm not happy with it either, but I'll take it for now and just fight to move up as the season goes along~
Also, I have a little sister! :D Well, not biologically, but in badminton it's kind of a mentoring/support thing in which younger players get paired up with older players. They call it "Big sister and little sister," but it's more like, "give the other person stuff and cheer them on :D". My little sister is a freshman and in choir too. I'm happy I got placed into the big sister category; I don't think they could have given me a big sister because I'd... be on the same team as them, and that's just awkward. /D;; I get to be a big sister until I graduate though, hooray!
The first meet is on Monday. I'm nervous but at the same time excited.
We got our uniforms (the shorts are breezy and ugly as all heck, but at least no one will have really short shorts anymore). Varsity also got something like a track jacket, only minus the zipper so it's more like a hoodless sweatshirt made out of track jacket material. Mine is too big; I should have gotten a small, but oh well. It's waaaaaarm~
(I also had practice from six to eight today. Six to eight in the morning. My coach has gone insane.)
2.
2NE1's new MV. AHAHA I LOVE THIS. Just. Gosh, my favorite part has to be CL in the bathtub covered in rhinestones. Or Dara shooting at people dressed in Stormtrooper costumes. *amused*
3. I'm thinking about changing my desktop to something a little bit more updated. It's currently
this. I like the color because it's nonintrusive (I used to have a really brightly colored Kingdom Hearts background; talk about blindingly bright) and it's pretty. But I've had it for nearly a year now and I figure I could use a change. If you know of any duller, pretty backgrounds, please to direct me to them? :D
4. I figure I need to be a little more serious about losing weight, so I'm going to start tracking how many calories I eat a day and how many excess I burn through badminton or running or, uh, grocery shopping. /D;; Hopefully it'll help; my goal weight is the ideal for my height, about 120 pounds (or 54 kg). I'm okay with it being a little higher since I play badminton and need the muscle, but if I can just get it to that...
I'll ask my mother to go out and buy a working, accurate scale when she goes grocery shopping. Our scale says that I dropped 8 pounds in under a week, and I figure the scale at the doctor's was a lot more accurate than ours. /D;;
5. I can cook! :D Well, according to my tastes, that is. Yesterday I made pasta layered with sauteed spinach and mushrooms, herbed chicken breast, alfredo and marinara sauce, topped with breadcrumbs and parmesan, then thrown into the oven and baked to deliciousness. It was nice because it wasn't really cheesy or saucy, just kind of light and simple. Needed more spinach though.
Aaaaand I made chili successfully. My mother used to make it for my sister, but it never tasted right so I made it for myself today and it was good~
And I make really good apple pie, apparently. :3
6. Ryo as a baking samurai.
*dies laughing*
Don't get me wrong, I love it. I'm ridiculously happy because, um, I love samurai and I love baking. Purin is one of my favorite sweet foods because it's not overly sweet and it's vanilla-y and delicious, so that's just a bonus. Plus the poster is adorable; how can you not love a purin with a caramel topknot?
Watching Ryo make cake is amusing. And oddly endearing at the same time because he's really good at frosting. I've... got to catch up somehow. (I bet I make pie better than him though!) But but but he was making a strawberry shortcake (I think), and it's my favorite kind of cake, so. :D
He's not very good at piping chocolate. At least it's funny to see him in a chef's hat and coat. I still need to watch the U-La-La clip, but I have magazine scans and am very, very pleased with life right now.
But he needs a haircut. :|
7. I still haven't watched "Sakura Girl" on M-Ste yet! I'm really looking forward to it because apparently Shige has good hair. :D (please stop growing your hair out, Shige.)
8. On this theme of haircuts, I need to trim my bangs soon.
I want to write but I have no time, as it is 12:30 and I have been up since 5:10 for badminton. Need sleeeeeep and by that I mean Code Blue, Sakura Girl, and Hidarime. :D
Too much homework for tomorrow, augh. Degler, I curse your book.
