Okay, so now I'm just waiting for my throat to clear up completely from lunch and this soda so I can record Massu's part of 「キッス~帰り道のラブソング」 for the cover I'm doing with
mugiwara_shojo , so I figured I'd make a post to kill some time. I still don't know the song very well, but I'm listening to it and trying to sing along? It's the harmony that always throws me off, since I can't help but listen to Tegoshi during the chorus. Gah, why does he have to have such a nice voice?

So tomorrow is my first psych class and I'm a little scared. Um, of the people, not the work. Okay, maybe the work too. But seriously, they're just... adults, right? So I shouldn't be too scared. So, um, yeah?

Translating. Oh, how you make me go so completely blank to anything but Japanese. I didn't even eat until 3 PM because we were translating. Two cups of coffee, but that was it. Brilliant idea, right?

But yeah, I think I figured out why I have trouble translating written work: kanji. Like, I can usually figure out what's going on when I listen to a program (like I did at 7 AM while watching Konkatsu!, which had no Ueda, but it was interesting nonetheless) but when it comes to reading without furigana, I'm stuck if I don't have Wakan since I kind of fail at life that way. If I didn't have years of Chinese kanji-fetching under my belt, I'd be so utterly lost. D:

Three to five hours for a single one. More if there aren't lovely pictures. Ou, Wink Up, you make me crai. And you eat up a lot of my free time. BUT I do it for the sake of the fandom! (Still, little apprecation comes to the translators D: ) It's good practice though. I can kind of recognize, like, two more kanji now. Hooray.

And the scans aren't always that great-quality, so it's hard to pick out kanji sometimes. But we're getting through it. I help her, she helps me, we drop what we're doing to help the other. It's a nice system.

Let's keep it up all summer, ね? よろしくお願いします!
(Well, except Tuesdays and Thursdays, since I'll be at class. Did we agree on a break then?)

PS: MY DEAREST DARLINGEST LIZZIE/TEGO. STOP PLAYING THE SIMS3.
