So to celebrate my happy news from this morning, Lizzie and I went for lunch at the mall and then we went shopping. Since I've been saving for a really long time so I could go jewelery shopping, I ended up buying... not jewelery. XD Well, I did, but I bought more than I planned to.
I admit, I've been really into the whole floral-lacy-beige-cream-peach-Mori girl-gyaru style lately, so this season's retail store fashion is right up my alley. Lizzie and I walked into Charlotte Russe and saw lace and florals and stripes basically everywhere. I was a very happy camper. I tried on a couple of things, like a black T-shirt that fit perfectly around my chest (a hard thing to do), but was too large on my stomach, and some black shorts that looked like pumpkin pants when I put them on because they were poofy around the top and narrowed down at the bottom.
I did see some floral shorts, which I've been wanting to try forever. I tried on a pair of purple ones and ended up getting them.
They look a little funky, but they're cute, trust me. Just... kind of breezy. XD I definitely have to wear Soffe shorts under them just in case. >.>
I also found a cream camisole for two dollars and got that, and then I found this gorgeous cutsew with blue and lace and buttons and ugh. So pretty.
I also bought four belts. Yes. Four. >.> I don't have any belts that fit me at the moment, and they were having a buy one get one half off sale, so Lizzie found this wide waist one that had the crocheting in the back, which was just too cute to pass up, and then there were the three thin ones that came together as a trio. :D
My favorite is definitely the third one. I just love that swirl of red-brown in the middle of it, and the pretty detailing. ♥
I've also been on the hunt for a snake ring since my middle school years. Some leftover nostalgia from my era of boyish clothes, I guess? In any case, Lizzie was looking through the ring racks and she handed me this:
*_____________________* I love it so much alkfj;asdlf the two snakes are twisted together, which I'm pretty sure is probably a Satanic symbol somewhere in Christianity, but I don't really care at this point. It's just really shiny and silver and pretty, and I wouldn't mind wearing it because it doesn't really get in the way of my life.
And then we went to Forever 21, avoided the clothes, and I found a pretty necklace.
Isn't it so delicate and gentle? Perfect for spring, and it goes great with my new closet full of... beige and cream. >.>
I had an Ulta giftcard from Christmas and a coupon, so I finally went to use that. I've been looking for good lip balms for ages, and I found this
Neutrogena Revitalizing lip balm. I wanted to get Healthy Blush at first, but Petal Glow seemed reaaaally soft and pretty. I tried it on when I got home, and it's a gorgeous tint, a little lilac but otherwise very close to my actual lip color, just less pink. It looks really dark in the tube, but the color is really sheer and it feels pretty moisturizing thus far.
If you'll excuse the acne, this is what my lips look like with it on. :D Pretty, no?
I also got a coral blush from Maybelline, which goes really well with my skin tone, and then when we passed by the checkout counter, I finally found the
EOS lip sphere I've been searching for. See, I have really dry lips and Chapstick just dries up after 30 minutes or so on my lips, and they make my throat tickle (as do most lip balms, the mint ones aside), which is never a good thing. I think Aquaphor smells terrible and Vaseline products don't like me. I'd heard really good things about EOS for a while, and it was pretty cheap so I wasn't about to pass it up.
I got the summer fruit scent, which is very peachy with a hint of mango on top (kind of like little kid lip gloss, but without the drying), and it goes on kind of thinly, but it's not greasy or heavy, and the awkward shape was easy to control once I got the hang of it. I've been wearing it for a good two hours now, and it's still going strong. :3 It doesn't taste good (what lip balm does?) but it smells really good in the tube. I love the smell of fruity scented balms like Lip Smackers, but this one actually works and doesn't make the back of my throat tickle like they do.
Plus it's cute. :D
So yes, overall my day has been like this:
Oh! I also curled my hair before I left the house because I was watching tutorials online all morning. It didn't turn out the way it did on Youtube since my hair is too long now, but I kind of liked the end result.
...even if you can't really see it. XD This is after being around for a couple of hours anyway, so they've kind of fallen out (even with mousse in them ;o;), but yay, curls!
That's all for now! :D I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far~ ESPECIALLY WITH THE KISUMAI DEBUT NEWS. 8D I... finally learned their names? XD
