YELLOW FREAKING GOLD 3010'S FIRST STOP. I just got home and now I'm like. ;___; Exhausted. omg. But I will type everything I remember up because I can. I actually don't know if it all happened in this order or if I'm missing songs (I shouldn't be! D:) because my memory is fail. It should all be there though, in a generally linear structure. But it's going to be messy. XD;; Half coherent concert report to follow... now.

First things first! XD This was my first concert, so I have nothing else to base it off of. But it was really, really epic.

But beforehand, I got dressed, went to Lizzie's, she changed outfits twice, we went to Chili's, I had a buffalo chicken salad, and then while I was standing in line to get in (it was FREEZING, and I'm from here! XD), two girls get in line one person behind us. She had red hair. I looked for a moment, thought, "COULD IT BE--" and look away because it's creepy to stare. BUT IT WAS.

She says, "...are you Rose?"
"CHEY?"
"Yeah!"
"Wait, is it Shay or Shy? IDK WHICH. ;A;"

And then miss_jelly went to the will call line to get her tickets and came back with tatoeba  and her friend. GUYS, THEY'RE SO CUTE IRL. JUST. IDK, REALLY CUTE. XD /awkward

And then they went back to will call and my friend Amanda (the Chinese one) called me and we waved at each other from across the... concrete. idk, but we got in and once our tickets were scanned, it was immediately an EPIC DASH TOWARDS MERCHANDISE.

...there was one table. XD For all of us. We were in line for a while and they kept selling out of things and a;lkfjals;d ;A; it was sad. I did get a white T-shirt though. They're really simple, just like V-neck babydoll tees with Yellow Gold printed on the back in that cursive and the cities underneath. But then Lizzie and I went to our seats, which were in the back of the section all the way to the right, in the second to last row (row G) and at the very side. .___.

But no one came in and sat near us so we just. XD Moved all the way to the other side of the section and we had a much better view of the stage. There were a lot of empty seats too, but it filled up decently. :D

(There was no intermission.)

Once the show started, it was probably a lot like the LA cons. Juice and JM were the MC's at first, and they made us do the "my side is louder than your side" thing, and at the very end they said, "Are you ready to rock?" and made us say "Right now, right now" back at them for a friend that apparently couldn't be there. I wonder...

And after a cool dance by Joey Beni (who is sixteen, fml), there was a video of Jin in LA that had some of his news footage and interview from the LA cons, and then Dominic sang. DOMINIC IS COOL BEANS, YO. He's a really good singer! And dancer. And. ;A; IDK, I LIKED HIM.

After another VTR, this time with concert footage and the interview posted on his site up (there was the clap. so adorable.) he came onstage wearing that puffy white hoodie that looked like it was quilted or something and sunglasses, with his hair down. Some of the backup dancers walked in through the audience and one walked right past me. .__. It was either Juice or Paul, I have no idea, but he was sparkly. The concert started off with "Christmas Morning" after doing the robot (Yellow Gold tour in Chicago. Weather: sunny. Alcohol: ready. It's time to party~) and playing the drums. It's such a nice song to listen to, even all autotuned and high-pitched. XD

And after that came "Bass Go Boom", which, idk, is one of my favorite songs. I don't remember much, just that his backup dancers were sparkly. (this is how much of the con report is going to go, fyi.)

"Bass Go Boom" finished and then he sang, um, I think it might have been "Wonder", but it was all kind of a blur. x___x and then "I.N.P." (everybody take a shot, take a shot, take a shot, everybody clap your hands, clap your hands, clap your hands), which had some cool hand stuff that I still remember. And they had the face off between the girl dancers and the boys, and at one point, Aubree was singing/lipsynching/rapping into the hanging mic and it was awesome.

Then it was "A PAGE", which was autotuned but definitely was not lipsynched. You could hear where he was taking breaths and it was kind of surreal because he was singing. By god. XD;;

On the screen they showed a video of him walking off, sitting down at a table to catch his breath, and he took a drink of water. And then he picked up his phone and... started texting. XD The screen flashed to "r u guys having fun?" "if ur having fun, scream!" "i can't hear u!" "if ur having fun, scream!" "SCREAM LOUDER", and then, "lol OK!"

Then he tells us he's going to tickle our brains, but messes up typing the "your" and types "yout" instead and has to backspace and fix it. XD It's really cute. He tells us to pick a number we like, and add four. Then multiply it by two and subtract six. And then we divide it by two and subtract the number we picked first.

The answer was one, but he made us go through it again by saying, "did u get it?" "LOL some of u guys r really slow" "okay, let's do it again."

And then he came onstage with a different outfit, this time a fedora with a letterman jacket, and sang a song that might have been called "One", or something else entirely; some people have said that it's "Oowah" but I think that's just his accent "Oowah". XD I don't actually know! But it was adorable. He had all this math (simple things, like numbers, and multiplication) in the song, and it was just really cute.

Afterward, he started talking and he was really out of breath. He started telling us that he had written three new songs and he'd just sung two of them--er, one, um... XD He smiled and laughed and told us that he was going to sing two more new songs, and launched into "Body Talk" and then a song called "The Fifth Season", which was gorgeous and had this line about love overflowing. IT'S OVERFLOWING~ IT'S OVERFLOWING~

I think it was that point then that he sang, um, I think he did "Lovejuice" at that point. Pretty typical performance of it, with the backup dancers and Jin's lovely, lovely lyrics, and Aubree and Lizzy being great dancers. Reminded me so much of QoP, you have no idea. <3

And then he introduced his dancers. There was Joey Beni, of course, and Dominic, and Juice and JM, and Paul too, and the two girls were Lizzy (the blonde) and Aubree (who was from Chicaaaagoooo~).

He sang "Paparats", which was really epic because it started off with him sitting on an elevation of the stage with the two girls, and there were two guys that came out with cameras and started pretending to take pictures of him. The lights were all red. *__* On the back screen, they showed with each click a picture of him "partying", and I remember one in which he's making a funny face to suck up a shot. XD It was kind of cute. And then came the song, and at the very end he smiled, picked up the mic stand in both hands, and walked offstage.

And then... then "Hey Girl", maybe? XD My memory is fail. "Hey Girl" was a fun performance, as insulting as that song always is, but it was good. And really cute! They'd point to the audience and at one "You? You!" part, Jin pointed at the two male dancers that were standing next to him. So amused. XD

And... then there was the dance break? IDK, MY MEMORY SUCKS. XD All of this happened at one point, I swear though. But the dancing was awesome! WORLD DANCE or something, but they did hip hop, which included Jin doing pop dance after an outfit change (fedora, black suit jacket, grey shirt, tie, and jeans) with JM and Joey, and then P-Paul? or Dominic, one of the two, and Joey did tricking, which was really acrobatic and awesome. *___* Aubree and Lizzy came on wearing green zoot suits and the two of them and Jin did what they called "look" dancing, which was a little old-fashioned but still hip hop.

I think at one point, Aubree took his fedora and Lizzy came over with another one, at which time he put it on over his face and then pulled it onto his head and magically got sunglasses on in the process. XD They were hidden in his hat, I guess, but then he took off the fedora and maybe mimed throwing it out into the audience, although he might have actually done it. idk.

And then he did the mask dance, which was kind of cool and close to Chinese bian lian, which is actually kind of awesome to watch but Jin actually... took the masks off himself. XD It was still cool!

Then it was time for "Yellow Gold", which was an amazing performance and you could really hear him. There was some autotune but not a whole lot, considering he changed a little vocalization and near the start, he sang "I said, I could make you beautiful" instead of just the "I could make you beautiful" that's normally there.

And. ;__; I knew the con was nearly over, but there was still "my mp3", which was a fun performance because of the dance and the general energy of the song. At the very end, he sang "Tipsy Love", fake-sobbing the first "If I told you I loved you, would you say yeeoh~?" and we all "Yee-oh"'d when we were asked to and "Hey, hey, heeeeey~"'d a lot. It was just. this awesome moment when most of the audience had one or both arms in the air, going from side to side.

He thanked us and yelled "CIAAAAAAAAAOOOOO" as he was walking off, and then Lizzie and I ran to buy more merchandise because there was definitely no encore. x__x I got a poster and a photoset this time, after the lady charged me ten extra bucks (I was too lazy to argue x__x) and I spending the time pressed against Lizzie's back because the girls behind me were just pushing me into her, both of which are GORGEOUS. <3 I passed Chey on the way out of the horde of girls with our stuff.

Things of note:

Jin is gorgeous irl. (Yes, the bold is necessary.) I wish he hadn't been wearing a hat/sunglasses for the entire thing, he's absolutely beautiful in person. His backup dancers are also very, very attractive. I was kind of in love with Aubree, partially because of her hair and partially because she's. really pretty. XD Lizzie remains unimpressed with the girls because they did a little whorish dancing. But so did Jin, so idk. XD

His voice is also flawless thanks to autotune, but on songs like "The Fifth Season" and "Paparats" where there was less of it, you could really hear how nice it really was. <3 I love his voice; it's very different than like, mainstream pop in the US, which is nice. It's got a feminine quality that is older than, say, Justin Bieber, but still retains a sense of beauty even while being autotuned up the wazoo. idk. /rambles

He looked happy up there. Really happy.

Not many people got into it (I just can't dance and I'm not a very mobile person, or else I would have been) during the entire concert, which was kind of sad, but there was a lot of screaming and clapping to the songs. I think I was the only one singing parts of the songs, but the music was so loud, I couldn't hear myself anyway, so no one else probably could. XD

My hands hurt, omg, because I clapped so much. It's like being at a speech tournament but lots of it over 2 hours instead of less over 30 minutes. .__. My feet hurt too, because we stood the entire concert despite having seats, and I was wearing heeled boots. But my boots were comfy so it's all good.

A girl got thrown out for typing on her phone. Some people were taking pictures, but the security just told them not to. But idk, at one point a few people in our section were eyed by security multiple times and I think the girl that got thrown out was in front of me at one point. .___. I didn't tweet during, just before and after, but yeah, that's kind of horrible. Dx

Lots of Japanese girls. Funny story: there was a group of Japanese girls behind us when we were waiting in line for the merchandise the first time, and somewhere they got these cards with Jin's face and the tour dates on the back. So Amanda and Lizzie told me, "hey, ask them where they got those!" and I was like, "in Japanese?!"

...so I did. The girl I asked told me, "They're over there, on the counter." In English. Clean, unaccented English. .___. Fry an egg on my face. But she didn't seem to mind too much. XD;; At first I couldn't find them and ran into Riha and Chey on the way back to our place in line and told them about my fail before someone pointed out what counter they were on and I got some for Amanda and Lizzie.

Overall, it was really fun.

Personally, just. I don't know, seeing this concert was such a surreal experience. I thought, in all of my life, I would never see a JE boy perform live and in person unless it was in Japan, and I knew it was so far away from being possible, I'd given up on it in the next five years. Being able to see him in person, being close enough to see his face and his features relatively clearly was unimaginable until today.

Even better, it was Akanishi Jin, Jin who drew me into KAT-TUN with his face and eyes and lips and voice. I was very infatuated with him until I realized my love for Ueda was just immense, and then I discovered NEWS and Kanjani8, but Jin has always, always been up there in my favorites.

I'm so thankful and fortunate. I couldn't have asked for a better night. Thank you so much, Jin, for making my first concert experience an amazing one. <3

That's all for now! XD I might edit this if I remember something or realize something happened in a different order because I know my memory is just horrible with these things. tl;dr, Jin is gorgeous and looked happy and Yellow Gold 3010 was amazing. If you're going to see it, great, have fun; if you're not, I'm sorry this is so incoherent hope that you one day get to experience it. <3

to Riha and Chey, it was nice meeting you guys. <3 I wish I could have stuck around, but Lizzie wanted to go and she was kind of my ride home. .__. And I have school tomorrow. BUT. You two are so nice and cute and alkfja;dlf I was happy I got to see y'all. <333
