Day 13 - Favorite old drama
I suppose it would have to be Shao Nian Bao Qing Tian, or "Young Justice Bao" from 2000, which is old for me. Whoa, Chinese dramas, what? It's a detective show and one of my absolute favorites (and firsts!), kind of reminiscent of Shonen Jikenbo but set back in like... a really long time ago. (I don't know my Chinese history, clearly.)
There are some pretty freaking amazing plots in here, more creative than most things I've seen in Japan, probably helped along by the lack of technology back in the time period, except they're freaking brilliant and impossible to guess. But Bao Zheng is kind of ridiculous and wimpy and Zhan Zhao is adorable but buttkicking and a;lkjfa;ldf I love them all, except for the girl in season 2. >___>
Season 3 was kind of wtf and awful, but somehow my sister and I got over it, probably because the first two seasons were so good. <3

So on our summer reading list is a book called Stiff by Mary Roach, and it essentially tells the story of a human cadaver. I'm like 26 pages in and I love it already. I've always sort of been fascinated by creepy, gruesome things (except for decomposition *shudders*) so I find the book absolutely fascinating.
Of course, I'm sure all of my classmates will want to read it because they're ~cool~ but I wonder how many of them will get really grossed out. Currently I am eating a pastry and iced coffee (not stomach-friendly foods, mind you) and feeling nothing, so I have a feeling the entirety of this book will be enjoyable. :) <3
edit: There's a guy in the the cafe that looks a lot like Subaru, except he's not quite so skinny and has short hair. But still. o____o
