Personality: Cruelly Blunt ;; Doctor Cox is a man who speaks his mind when the situation is needed, or sometimes not needed. It isn’t so much that he speaks what is on his mind that makes it so cruel as it is he doesn’t seem to always take into consideration who he’s talking to, when in all reality in his mind he is speaking a reality check. He essentially can say the wrong thing in the right way, the right thing in the wrong way, or to some the perfect thing to say at the perfect time in order to get them to understand exactly what they need to know. He tells it how it is as straight forward as he possibly can. If he doesn’t, he either really doesn’t like you or he’s trying to get you to leave before he rips your head off.
Short Tempered ;; The man has an incredibly short fuse and he’s seen a psychologist to help with it. Unfortunately, that hasn’t done all too much in the way of help... Perry will often be grinning with gritted teeth when his temper is about to explode to Biblical proportions. In a sense, it is possible to relate Doctor Cox to the Hulk in a more verbal sense. He will crush everything in his path until he reaches his goal or finds himself satisfied. Another hint that his temper has in fact snapped is he will drag his words out. An example being for “really” he will say “Ree-hee-hee-heeeeeally”.
Alcoholic ;; The man drinks. A lot. Mainly scotch. He drinks on a regular basis, with people around, without people around, so long as alcohol is available to him, he will drink.
Defensively Proud ;; These are lumped together because of the fact he will defend just how proud he is. Or at least how proud he seems to be. He’s aware his life has been relatively crappy, but he doesn’t care. He won’t tell people that except for when he goes about explaining how they have nothing to complain about. When it comes to showing his pride, he will do what Percival Cox does best...
Rants ;; Grab a book if you get bored easy honey this’ll be a long one. The rants are probably one of the more famous things that Perry does. These can come from anywhere between “You annoy me” to “Get out of my face before I rip you to shreds” on his anger-o-meter. Most all times these rants include quite a bit of Perry Sarcasm(TM) where he says exactly what you need to hear hidden by what makes some people cry. He doesn’t care who it is or how ‘weak’ they are, he will verbally rip someone a new one if need be. These rants can be comical, including him abusing even himself, often when the sarcasm starts rolling in and with a line along the lines of “Oh stupid stupid stupid Perry! What were you thinking?” where, naturally, the sarcasm becomes so strong you can taste it in your mouth. The serious rants, however, are more with a straight forward face and contain that brutal honesty he is almost equally as famous for. If he hurts you during one of his rants, however, he won’t apologize. If you cry, he’ll make you feel even worse.
Actually a Nice Guy ;; What? Actually a nice guy? What is this nonsense? Stay with me you’ll understand in a minute. While Perry puts on the whole tough guy “I hate you all leave me the hell alone” act all the time, he truly is a caring man. He won’t openly admit it to anyone’s face, however, but he is in fact someone you would want playing for your team. This is shown as with Bob Kelso when he is arguing over a patients well being. His whole mean guy act is sometimes viewed as just that though with some, such as Bob Kelso, he will be sincere in his cruelty. However, that is only because “if the patient doesn’t have insurance we get them good enough to walk then boot ‘em” is not how he views things. He is a man you want on your team, even if he will seem to turn on you eventually. Chances are he isn’t, you’ve just done something fooli
