Side note:  There is a huge tarantula outside on my office window, it is easily 6 inches large. Thankfully it has moved along....

It was dusk, and I ran out to show it to the husband, who was outside.

It's late in the "summer" now, so the bugs that are around are the survivors that ate the other bugs. Yeah, this was big, but not abnormally so for a tarantula. Still, they can move pretty fast and they can bite and I just wasn't going to get that close to it.

I think I'd rather see exactly where such a beast was, especially with a pane of glass between us, than keep thinking 'Where's the bugger gone now?'

It is definately outside. I don't want to kill it. Earlier in the summer when they were smaller some would get into the house if we left the door open, and we'd just shoo them back out. This one might have been able to evict us, and it is off guarding the perimeter of the property.

I heard that a tarantula's bite won't kill you, but it hurts like hell. 'Zat true?

I am not stupid enough to find out. So I can't say. LOL

However, fire ants are nasty, and you can't always see them.

There is nothing wrong with the tarantula as long as it stays outside doing its job.

Just a side note. Had a conversation on castrating Snape, but then added, "that would make Teddy cry."

Well, to me the only good spider is a dead spider. I am an arachnophobe like you wouldn't believe, like, terrified, chest pains arachnophobia.

I was informed of that conversation earlier in the evening. I questioned the lady's sanity, which, come to think of it, was a bit of a waste of time. She really shouldn't scare her beta like that. I'm very sensitive, you know.

Said person was making interesting suggestions, and while *I* totally approve, I didn't think it was worth the utter and total flaming, like burning acid, pitsofhell flaming, that would occur. So you can thank me for my ravenclaw common sense on that. =)

Yay! (to the Craft faire, not the tarantula). By the way, I registered for MistiCon, thanks to the tireless efforts of you and the entire team who encouraged me to go! The Craft Faire is going to be a major incentive for me to go!
