Apparently passwords are hackable not using cracker ware. It can be done using a keylogger, which is injected by malware. Also the password per the above emails and what I read are also due to vulnerabilities with the service concerning password recovery. -sighs-
That means there are sh*ts out there who simply really learn these systems and processes and go through the effort to get into your account. I dont think peopel just do all this for fun, but are paid, because spam is big business.
I know the worlds biggest spammer was shut down a month ago, but it appears they are back in business with a force.
Since gmail has spam, it's not immune, especially with smart phones and ipads. Once hackers figure out how to really crack open the cloud, there will be no stopping them. This is why I dont use the cloud app on my iphone.
The other vulnerability is we are not just on home PCs anymore, our services are all on phones and mobile devices. It's not difficult to hack a smart phone, but it does take time and some determination.
