I thought I should post today since the rest of this week and the first part of next week are going to be insane for me. It is crunch time for getting ready for the Golden Gate Renaissance Fair http://www.sffaire.com . We are 5 days away from, pack it up, move it out, set it up and sale, sale, sale! As you can imagine I have been painting/glazing and firing everyday. I am very happy with the way the Raku firing went this weekend. Got some great pieces! In Raku I was really impressed by the Isis statue and the feather incense burner. In acrylics I am also very pleased with my Cabernet Dragon Business Card Holder and the Anubis Box looks stunning. If I hade a digital camera I would take pictures and post them. It’s one of the things on my “to get list” once I get a roommate again.
If everything goes right we (Melanie, Peggy and I) will have a whole bunch of new stuff to see. We have expanded into dichroic glass and hand wrapped/made jewelry using dichroic glass. If you get a chance come by and check it out.
I am doing the happy dance about weight loss again. Working out really does help with weight loss! I am now down 87.2 lbs total. Working out has increased by average weekly weight loss to 3.5 lbs much better than just 1 lb. I still have to dig out my costume and see if I can take it in or if I am going to have to go buy an emergency costume on Saturday morning at Fair. I am only 12.8 lbs away from the 100 lb mark. When I hit the big 100 I am going to go to a day spa and be pampered! A non-food related reward!
