Weekend
This weekend was excellent. We went to see HP on the IMAX screen. Wow! When can I go see it again? The regular screen will be fine for the next viewing.
On Sunday I was able to get 99% of all my ceramics stuff back into the ceramics room. I still need to do some fine tuning on the room, but it is almost done. I was able to complete the skull incense burner, start and almost complete a bookshelf sitter dragon and base coat a dragon business card holder. I feel like I am getting back on track.
The next thing I need to do to get ready for Golden Gate is to pull out the costumes and see what I can wear for GG. I think I will have to do some major alterations! That is good news but it will be time consuming. I don’t want to make a new costume till I am down to my goal weight.
Still short a roommate. I did interview a really nice guy last week, but he said he couldn’t afford it. I think he was looking for someplace that he could get for 500-550 per month including utilities. He will be very lucky if he finds that since he will have his 5 year old son with him 3 days a week.
I can’t wait for my order from Creative Paradise to arrive. Mel and I are going to start experiment with slumping glass. We have been waiting for 3 weeks to get the necessary supplies. We are still waiting for one item to come in. It is the stuff to coat the molds so that the glass comes out after it is fired. Kind of need that to progress to the next step! I will post pictures when we have our first piece completed.
