previous Yoochun wants a bachelor party; Changmin wants to stay at home and watch movies.
“You’re no fun,” Yoochun says, pinching Changmin on the arm.
“Well, I am sorry I don’t believe in partying with loud music and booze; I’d rather sit at home, drink beer, and enjoy a good movie.”
“Remind me again why I am marrying you?” Yoochun says with distaste.
Yunho watches the couple banter from across the hall and laughs to himself. He’s about to walk in when Yoochun’s father stops him.
“Yunho.”
“Sir.”
“We need to talk. You’re dating my son, and I don’t know anything about you.”
“Of course.”
They walk to the dining room and take adjacent seats to each other. “Here.” Yoochun’s father gives Yunho a glass of scotch. “A real man drinks scotch.”
“That he does, sir,” Yunho says, and he lifts his glass.
“Yunho, I love Jaejoong. He might be my stepson, but I love him as much as I love Yoochun.”
Yunho nods understandingly.
“Jaejoong came into my life when he was about six years old, and he was - is such a bundle of joy. Always smiling and never letting anyone know how he feels on the inside. You must know that by now, I presume?”
“Yes, sir, I do.”
“He was really hurt when that Kibum incident happened, though it was three years ago - it hurt him greatly,” Yoochun’s dad says. “All I ask of you, is to keep him happy.”
Yunho sips on his drink and looks at up at Jaejoong’s father. “Sir?”
“Yes, Yunho?”
“I would like the permission to date your son.”
“I thought you already were?”
“I find it right to ask the permission of my boyfriend's parent before jumping into something serious.”
Jaejoong’s father smiles and pats Yunho on the back. “You have my permission. I like you.”
+
Yunho steals Jaejoong from Taeyeon, Changmin, and Yoochun. The cousins and Changmin were sitting on the terrace, each having a cigarette and listening to old music.
“What?” Jaejoong asks, stubbing his cigarette and walking up to Yunho.
“I want you to show me this house.”
Jaejoong chuckles. “What?”
“Show me around. Show me your favourite place in this house.”
Jaejoong spares Yunho a look. “There is one,” Jaejoong says and holds Yunho by the arm and takes him towards a locked room.
“Oh my God! There are going to be ghosts in there, I know it. Stop taking me to haunted corners; I was joking about the money.”
Jaejoong laughs and hits Yunho on the back of the head. “This place is not haunted, Yunho,” Jaejoong says and opens the door to another flight of stairs.
Jaejoong walks in and starts climbing and Yunho follows Jaejoong tentatively. “Jaejoong…” Yunho whispers, stretching his arm out to hold Jaejoong’s hand. “I am scared.”
“Oh grow a pair,” Jaejoong growls, and pushing his shoulder to a door at the top of the stairs, he pulls Yunho into the room.
“This was my favourite hiding place when Yoochun and I used to play hide and seek when we were young.”
Yunho looks around. “It looks like an attic.”
“It is,” Jaejoong replies. “And come here.” He steps towards the small window. “I love the view you get from here.”
“Why is there a mattress here?” Yunho asks, staring at the mattress positioned below the window. “Did Kibum and you - ”
“Oh, ew, no.” Jaejoong recoils in distaste. “Kibum doesn’t know about this place. I brought that mattress here because Yoochun would take so long to find me that he’d forget we were playing at all and so I’d fall asleep here.”
“Did you finally tell Yoochun about this place?” Yunho asks, making himself comfortable on the mattress.
“No,” Jaejoong says, sitting down next to Yunho. “No one knows about this place. Not even mom and dad.”
“So why’d you bring me here?” Yunho asks, scooting closer to Jaejoong.
“I - ” Jaejoong sighs. “I don’t know,” He says, and looks outside the window and spots Kibum in the front garden taking a stroll. He actually looks quite good in his casual clothes with the rays of the evening sunlight lighting up his soft brown hair.
Jaejoong turns away instantly and faces Yunho.
“So, why did you bring me here?” Yunho asks, again.
“I told you, I don’t - ”
Yunho’s kissing him.
Yunho has his hand around Jaejoong’s nape and he’s kissing him and Jaejoong moans into Yunho’s mouth because Yunho is such a delicious kisser. Jaejoong leans forward, and Yunho holds him by his waist, picks him up, and puts him on his lap.
“Fuck,” Jaejoong whispers when Yunho’s hands are slipping under his shirt. “Fuck fuck fuck...”
Yunho pushes Jaejoong towards himself till Jaejoong is squashed against Yunho’s chest and can feel the latter’s heartbeat thumping against his own. Yunho’s sucking and biting on Jaejoong’s neck, and Jaejoong is just intoxicated by the way Yunho’s lips are moving on his skin and how Yunho smells so fresh and amazing and -
“Yunho! Jaejoong! You guys~ Changmin’s parents are here.” Taeyeon’s voice travels through the stairway, and Yunho and Jaejoong, both, groan.
“Come on,” Jaejoong says, getting off of Yunho.
“What am I going to do about this?” Yunho asks and points to the boner, and Jaejoong bursts out laughing.
“Do something about that,” Jaejoong says and pats Yunho’s butt.
Yunho growls as Jaejoong walks away.
+
Later that night, Jaejoong finds Yunho slipping into his room with a pillow tucked under his arms and sliding under his sheets.
“Wha - ” Jaejoong asks.
“I am scared,” Yunho says, spooning Jaejoong.
Jaejoong giggles and pats Yunho’s arm. “But I am not paying you any extra,” he mumbles, and Yunho kisses the back of Jaejoong’s head.
“I don’t want your money, I want you,” Yunho whispers.
But Jaejoong snores, and Yunho knows that Jaejoong hasn’t heard him. He kisses the back of Jaejoong’s head again and falls asleep.

It’s Yoochun’s bachelor party.
The club is a about a fifteen minute drive from the farmhouse; it isn’t flashy and loud, but it serves good alcohol and that should do. Yunho decides to drop Jaejoong off, just for the kick of it. Yunho’s also decided to sit at home with Changmin and watch movies because, honestly, Yunho prefers that.
“How do I look?” Jaejoong asks, right before they are about to enter the club.
“Like a billion dollars,” Yunho replies without missing a beat.
Jaejoong smiles nervously. “Thank you, Yunho,” Jaejoong says and brushes Yunho’s jacket. “You look really handsome too.”
“As always, of course.” Yunho grins.
“Of course,” Jaejoong agrees, and Yunho’s grin fades into a softer smile.
“Hey, you look really good, I mean it. You need to stop looking so good.” Yunho flattens Jaejoong’s hair and fixes his shirt’s collar; he takes a step closer to Jaejoong, leans down till their noses are almost touching and whispers into his ear. “Fifty bucks that your people are spying on us as we speak.”
Jaejoong carefully glances over Yunho’s shoulder and finds Taeyeon, Yoochun, and a couple of their other friends giggling at them. Jaejoong muffles his laughter and turns to Yunho. “No need to bet, they are looking.”
“I knew it.”
“Are you going to kiss me now?”
“I was going to kiss you either way,” Yunho says, tilts Jaejoong’s face upwards and presses their lips together. “You looked way too handsome for me to let this one go,” he whispers into Jaejoong’s mouth.
Jaejoong smiles, and for reasons he does not know himself, wraps his arms around Yunho and kisses him harder. Yunho’s lips are soft and welcoming, and Jaejoong indulges himself.
“Thank you,” Jaejoong mumbles, lips still attached to Yunho’s. “Thank you for everything.”
Yunho replies with another kiss and smacks Jaejoong’s butt as he walks over to the bar. “Don’t have too much fun without me,” Yunho shouts out as Jaejoong walks away. Jaejoong turns around and sticks his tongue out at Yunho. “Take care of my boyfriend, Yoochun,” Yunho shouts, waving at the to- be-groom, and Yoochun just waves back.
“Bloody hell, Jae, where did you get him? I want one of those,” Sooyoung, Yoochun’s college friend, comments as they watch Yunho drive away.
Jaejoong watches the car till it disappears around the corner. “I don’t know.” He shrugs. “I got lucky, I guess.”
“So damn lucky.” Sooyoung sighs and Taeyeon butts in, “Are we going to talk about how picture perfect Jaejoong’s boyfriend is, or are we going to get ourselves a round of drinks?”
After a good three rounds of drinks later, everybody is feeling a little too happy and a little too comfortable having no personal space between them. Jaejoong finds his way through the crowd and slumps on to the bar counter and grins widely when he sees Yoochun nursing his drink by the counter.
“You’re getting married,” Jaejoong squeals and latches his arm around Yoochun’s. “I am so happy for you.”
Yoochun smiles, almost sadly, and holds Jaejoong in a bear hug. “You’re my half-brother, but I love you wholly,” Yoochun says and tugs Jaejoong onto the dance floor. “C’mon, let’s dance.”
The rest of the night slips away in merry; cigarettes, booze, and more booze. Jaejoong does not exactly remember how he gets back home, but he remembers seeing flashes of having seen the ground up close to his face and having someone pull him up; Jaejoong thinks it’s Changmin, but he isn’t too sure.
He stumbles into the house, trying to be as quiet as possible. He can hear Changmin trying to quieten Yoochun, but Yoochun is loudly voicing his opinion about how he would like it if Changmin fucked him into bed this very instant. Jaejoong giggles and walks up the stairs on all fours and finally stands up straight when he reaches the final step. He, surprisingly, manages to find Yunho’s room without much difficulty.
“Fuck, I’m so drunk.” Jaejoong hiccups and leans against the door frame. He can see Yunho bundled up on the bed, his chest rising and falling in rhythms. Jaejoong walks over and manages not to topple over and hovers over Yunho.
Yunho stirs in his sleep and cracks an eye open and stares at Jaejoong. “Hey, you okay?” he whispers, voice hoarse from sleep.
Jaejoong doesn’t really say anything, but leans over and kisses Yunho on the mouth. “Come with me,” Jaejoong whispers. He holds Yunho’s hand and pulls him out of bed and carefully leads him to the attic upstairs.
“Jae - I don’t - ”
“Shush.” Jaejoong places a finger on Yunho’s lips and pushes him down on the old mattress. “I don’t wanna think tonight,” Jaejoong slurs and gets on top of Yunho. “Just touch me.”
What happens after is a blur of clothes being stripped off and skin on skin and Yunho’s lips and Yunho’s fingers and Yunho everywhere on Jaejoong and kissing and moaning and gripping on to each other till they dirty the mattress.
“I think I like you,” Jaejoong whispers into Yunho’s chest as the latter holds him close and kisses his head.
+
Jaejoong decides hangovers are lethal when he wakes up the next day in the attic, half-naked and covered with love bites.
“Fuck.” He runs a hand through his unkempt bed hair and peeks out through the small window and smiles as he spots Changmin and Yoochun walking around the garden, holding hands and smiling at each other. He thinks that’s what he wants; what they have. His thoughts are disturbed as he hears footsteps coming up to the attic.
It’s Yunho. With a tray of breakfast. Bless him.
“Good morning.” Yunho smiles grandly and places the tray near Jaejoong. “I thought you might need some of this.”
“You’re heaven-sent, you know that?” Jaejoong sighs as he sips on his cup of strong coffee. “This is exactly what I needed.”
Yunho opens his mouth to say something but Jaejoong cuts him off before he can begin. “I know what you’re going to say,” Jaejoong says, placing the cup of coffee down and folding his arms across his chest. “You would want to be paid extra for last night, I know. Don’t worry, I’ll pay you.”
Yunho blinks for a moment and smiles; it looks a little too forced. “I was going to ask you if you wanted more coffee but, alright,” says Yunho and turns and leaves.
Jaejoong thinks he imagined the hurt that flashes across Yunho’s face.

A day before the wedding, Changmin’s extended family joins Yoochun and Jaejoong’s at the farmhouse; Changmin’s parents, siblings, and two pairs of aunt and uncles with their cousins have joined the Kim-Park residency. After showing them their designated rooms, both of the families head down to the backyard for lunch.
“This is where we’ll hold the wedding,” Mrs Kim says, showing off the archway made for the couple.
“The wedding will be beautiful,” Mrs Shim says, squeezing Changmin’s hand. “You both are a beautiful couple.”
Yoochun blushes as Changmin wraps his free arm around him and presses a kiss to his temple. “I am a lucky man,” Changmin states, and Taeyeon gags in the background.
Kibum arrives shortly, much to Jaejoong and Taeyeon’s unhappiness; Changmin welcomes his best friend warmly. “Hello, you’re just in time.”
“I am always on time.” Kibum grins and settles down on the seat opposite to Jaejoong’s.
“Who invited him?” Taeyeon whispers to Jaejoong, and the latter makes a face at her and scoots closer to Yunho.
“So, are you Yoochun’s friend?” one of Changmin’s cousins asks Yunho shyly, and Yunho, like the cheeky bastard he is, smiles at the girl and shakes his head.
“I am Jaejoong’s plus one.”
“Oh,” the girl replies, clearly disappointed, and Changmin laughs out loud.
“He’s Jaejoong’s boyfriend,” Changmin provides.
“Oh, damn you homosexuals. Always taking the good ones away,” the other cousin says.
“Aw, Mijung, I am sure you’ll find somebody soon. Hopefully,” Changmin mock-sympathises her.
The lunch carries on in conversations and laughter, and in the process, the two families empty three bottles of wine. Jaejoong offers to go get the wine from the wine cellar when the bottles are empty; he walks down into the basement and does not notice Kibum slipping away from the table and following him.
“Oh shit, you scared me.” Jaejoong laughs when Kibum calls out to Jaejoong. “What are you doing here? Why aren’t you upstairs?”
“I - ” Kibum fidgets and hesitates, and Jaejoong mentally pats himself on the back. “I - I wanted to talk to you about something. About us.”
“Oh.” Jaejoong pulls out two wine bottles and tucks it under his arms. “About us? There is no more of us, Kibum.”
“I know.” Kibum sighs. “I know, it’s just that - there is something you should know; I am here to apologize.”
Jaejoong leans on the wall and shrugs coolly. “Okay, I am waiting.”
Kibum heaves out a heavy breath and fidgets with the end of his shirt and tries to form coherent sentences when Jaejoong softly chuckles and pats him on his back. “Look, Kibum, I know you are going to say that you’re sorry we didn’t work out and how great we were and things didn’t go as they were planned and all that shizz. And honestly, I even brought Yunho with me just so I could make you jealous but, right now, I really think I just feel sorry for you. We could’ve been, but we’re not, so I am sorry too,” Jaejoong says and, turning his back to Kibum, he starts to walk away when -
“I slept with Yoochun.”
Jaejoong stops midstep and turns around wide-eyed. “What?”
“I’m - I am so sorry. It just happened, I don’t know how but - ”
“You fucked my stepbrother when you were engaged to me?”
“I - I am so sorry, Jaejoong,” Kibum says, eyes downcast, and Jaejoong does not know what to do.
Jaejoong walks out feeling numb and lifeless and bumps into Taeyeon.
“Hey, cousin, what’s up?” Taeyeon asks brightly, but pauses when she sees the look on Jaejoong’s face. “Hey, what happened? Why the - ” Taeyeon stops midway when she sees Kibum following Jaejoong. “You told him?” Taeyeon barks at Kibum, and Jaejoong turns to stare at Taeyeon.
“You knew? You knew about this?”
“I - ” Taeyeon looks dumbfounded. “I am sorry, it was just that - ”
“Fuck it,” Jaejoong cuts her off and walks away briskly, tears threatening to roll down. Yoochun, who’s cuddling with Changmin, spots Jaejoong and instantly gets up when he sees the disgusted glare Jaejoong’s throwing at him.
“Jae. Oh God, Jae.” Yoochun scrambles up and runs towards Jaejoong but the latter just walks away. “Jae, please come back. Jaejoong, please don’t create a scene. Please, Jaejoong,” Yoochun whispers hurriedly, trying to catch up with Jaejoong.
Jaejoong doesn’t say anything, but takes a sharp breath when he sees Yunho at the end of the path. He walks right up to Yunho, and on cue, Yunho wraps his arms around Jaejoong and pulls him into his arms.
“I cannot believe you told him,” Yoochun whispers harshly and Jaejoong loosens his grip around Yunho and looks up at him.
“You knew too?” Jaejoong asks, his voice sounding hurt and betrayed. “You knew and you didn’t tell me?”
Jaejoong frees himself from Yunho’s hold before Yunho has the chance to say anything and stumbles back. “I trusted you.” Jaejoong glares at Yunho, tears wetting his cheeks. “I really did.” Jaejoong turns around and sprints away, and Yunho lets out a frustrated sigh and runs after Jaejoong.
“Jaejoong, wait up!”
Yoochun watches as the both of them disappear, and he. too, tears up. “Babe, what happened?” Changmin appears from the back and holds him close. “Is everything okay?”
“It’s fine,” Yoochun mumbles, wiping his tears. “It’s just bloody fine.” Yoochun turns the other way and walks away.
Changmin frowns and looks at Kibum. “What was all that about?”
Kibum smiles nervously. “Nothing you should worry about, Changmin-ah.”
Changmin spares Kibum a look and pats him on the back. “Alright, I get it.”
+
“Jaejoong! Wait up!” Yunho runs after Jaejoong.
“Go away,” Jaejoong mumbles loudly. “I don’t want to talk to you.”
“Listen,” Yunho tries. “I’m sorry, what did you expect me to do?”
“Tell me the truth, maybe?” Jaejoong snaps back.
“It was not my truth to tell.”
“You know, I cannot believe I trusted you. I cannot believe I trusted you. I am so stupid.” Jaejoong wipes his tears on his sleeve. “I mean, that’s what you do for a life, don’t you? You lie. You’re a liar. I just thought - I am so stupid.” Jaejoong sobbed uncontrollably, wrapping his arms around himself. “I am stupid.”
Yunho clenches his jaw, grips Jaejoong by his elbow, and spins him around. “You have a problem? You need to spit it out, alright? Don’t keep thinking everything is your fault or that everything is your problem. Shut up and move on with your life.”
“What would you know, you’re just a prostitute,” Jaejoong spits and regrets it the moment he’s said it.
“Right.”
“Oh, God, Yunho. No - ”
“Next time you get into a relationship, don’t screw it up. And try not to scare the person away,” Yunho says, turning his back to Jaejoong and walking away.
Jaejoong watches Yunho’s receding figure and slumps down to the floor and cries harder.
+
When Jaejoong returns home, everything is quiet. Jaejoong gets into the house unnoticed and slips into his bedroom; he changes into his pyjamas and gets under his sheets, when his door opens and a guilty faced Yoochun stands at the doorway. “Hey,” he says softly.
Jaejoong, in no mood to play the nice guy, just turns under his sheets. “Go away. I don’t wanna talk to you,” he mutters.
“But, I really want to talk to you.” He hears Yoochun’s voice; he hears the door shutting and Yoochun’s footsteps approaching him.
“Jae.”
“No.” Jaejoong flips on to his other side, not wanting to face Yoochun.
“Alright, don’t look at me. Just hear me out, please?”
Yoochun takes Jaejoong’s silence as an approval and sighs loudly. “Jaejoong, I am sorry,” Yoochun says, “and I know, 'sorry' does not cut it for what I have done, but it was completely out of impulse, and I regret every minute of it, and I, also, really want to thank you. Thank you for not making a huge scene,” Yoochun continues. “Thank you for not telling Changmin and - ”
“He doesn’t know?” Jaejoong sits up and glares at Yoochun. “Your fiancé does not know that his best friend fucked you?”
“Jaejoong.” Yoochun has tears threatening to roll but Jaejoong is unperturbed.
“You still want to be perfect, don’t you?” Jaejoong snaps. “Everything has to be perfect in Park Yoochun’s life. Nothing can go wrong; if something does go wrong, it isn’t Park Yoochun’s life. I cannot believe you haven’t told Changmin yet.”
“Please, Jaejoong, I’ll tell him. I swear I will.”
“Of course, you want to tell him that only after the wedding. Because then, the poor sucker has no way out and he’s in this for the long haul.”
“Jaejoong.”
“Save it, Yoochun. I am not going to tell Changmin. I am not going to ruin your picture-perfect wedding. I will stand by your side like the perfect-picture brother to the picture-perfect groom.”
“Thank you, Jaejoong.”
“But don’t expect me to forgive you so soon, because that’s not happening, Yoochun. That’s not happening for a long time.”
“I understand,” Yoochun says and tries to hold Jaejoong’s hand, but the latter’s already under his blankets. “Goodnight, Jae. And I am really sorry. Truly,” Yoochun whispers.
“Get out, Yoochun.” Jaejoong ducks his head under his blankets and tears pool around his eyes as he hears Yoochun breathe out a heavy sigh and leave the room. The door opens and shuts, and a few moments later, opens again.
“I said, get out, Yoochun.”
“Baby…”
Jaejoong peeps out of his blanket and it’s his mother and in the next moment, Jaejoong’s flying towards her and she has a lap full of a sobbing son.
“I can’t believe Yoo-Yoochun did that,” Jaejoong sobs into his mother’s lap. “He knew. He knew how much I loved Kibum and what a tough time I had getting over him and - and -and - ” Jaejoong shakes, unable to complete his sentence.
“Aw, baby.” Jaejoong’s mother runs a soft hand through Jaejoong’s hair. “I am so sorry you had to find out this way. I mean, all of us were just waiting for the right moment to tell you.”
“There’s a right moment for such news?” Jaejoong asks and sits up, wiping his tears on his sleeves.
“I suppose there isn’t,” she replies and wipes her son’s cheeks. “And you know what I think? I think it would have been wonderful if you didn’t know about this at all.”
“What? Why would you say that, mom?” Jaejoong looks at his mother, wide eyes and all.
“Has anything good come out of this?” she asks, holding Jaejoong’s hand. “You are mad at Yoochun, Yoochun’s mad at himself, Changmin, the poor thing, doesn’t know what to do, your father and I have no idea what to do, and God knows where poor Yunho is.”
Yunho.
“Yunho.” Jaejoong jumps out of bed. “Where is he? Isn’t he home? I thought he’d be with Changmin.”
“No honey, no idea,” she says. “Last I saw him, he was chasing after you, love.”
“Shit.”
Jaejoong runs out of his room, nearly breaking the antique vase kept at the end of the corridor. He checks the attic, the backyard, the garden; he finally walks up to Yunho’s room and finds the wardrobes empty and Yunho’s bags and shoes are gone, and Jaejoong feels like an idiot.
He sits down on the bed and runs a hand over the mattress. “You’re an idiot, Jaejoong,” he mutters to himself, folding his legs on to the mattress and pulling the blanket over himself. He takes a deep sniff of the pillow and loves how much it has that distinct Yunho scent on it.
Soon, he falls asleep.
+
It's the day of the wedding, and Jaejoong can’t help but feel gloomy without Yunho. Being so used to his company for the past week and a half, Jaejoong finds himself craving for Yunho and feels like an asshole when he thinks of how he’s treated Yunho the previous day.
He isolates himself from everyone and sits in a corner continuously sighing and cursing himself because holy fuck, Kim Jaejoong you stupid, stupid asshole. Yunho was only looking out for you.
“I thought I might find you here.”
Jaejoong looks up and finds Changmin smiling down at him. “Hello, Changmin.”
“How’s my favourite brother-in-law doing?” Changmin grins and takes a seat next to Jaejoong’s.
“I’m your only brother-in-law,” Jaejoong points out, and Changmin clicks his tongue. “So? Doesn’t stop you from being my favourite; I’d choose your cooking over anybody’s.”
“Even Yoochun’s?”
“Yeah, but don’t tell him that.” Jaejoong grins widely.
“Are you and Yunho fighting?” Changmin asks, taking Jaejoong’s hand in his, and Jaejoong sighs loudly.
“Yes, yes we are. Last night, I said things I shouldn’t have, and it didn’t turn out so well. And I guess, he’s gone now.”
“Tell me, Jaejoong, do you like this guy?”
“Yes,” Jaejoong replies without any hesitation.
“And do you think he likes you too?”
“I hope so.”
“Then don’t you worry. He’ll come back.”
Jaejoong smiles cynically. “He won’t.”
“See, that’s the pessimist in you talking. Just hope that he will, and then, who knows, he might. If you lose hope, what else do you have then?”
Jaejoong smiles widely this time and gives Changmin a half-hug. “You are going to be an awesome brother-in-law, Changmin.”
“Right back at ya.” Changmin winks. “Alright, now, stop moping around and smile for God’s sake; I am getting married and the ceremony is about to begin.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Jaejoong nods. “I will be right with you.”
“Hey Changmin,” Taeyeon butts in. “Yoochun’s looking for you.”
“Oh. Okay. See you in a bit, Jaejoong.”
“Sure,” Jaejoong replies absentmindedly and delves deeper into his thoughts.
+
“Babe, the ceremony’s going to be postponed.” Changmin walks into Yoochun’s room backward and covering his eyes with his hands. “And you said it was important.”
“Changmin, I want you to look at me.”
“It’s bad luck, Yoochunnie.”
“No, please, I insist. It’s not.” Yoochun sighs and Changmin turns around and looks at Yoochun. “Wow.” Changmin looks mesmerized. “You look so - good.” He ends with a sigh and reaches out and takes Yoochun’s hand in his. “I love you so much,” Changmin says, and pulls Yoochun closer and kisses him on the lips.
Yoochun sighs and slowly pulls himself away from Changmin. “Changmin, Shim Changmin, I want you to - ” He takes a deep breath. “- I want you to listen to me very carefully.”
+
Kibum’s standing by himself by the seats, and he looks up when he sees Changmin approaching and something doesn’t seem right.
Oh fuck, Kibum thinks when he sees Yoochun standing behind Changmin.
“You bastard,” Changmin growls, briskly walking towards Kibum.
“Oh shit. Oh shit. I am sorry, Changmin. Please.” Kibum breaks into a run, trying to save his skin.
“How dare you?” Changmin asks, chasing Kibum.
“Aw, come on, Changmin. That was way before you met Yoochun. Why are you angry?” Kibum asks, running past the amused audience.
“Because, you filthy asshole,” Changmin doubles his speed, “you were engaged to Jaejoong. How dare you cheat on my brother-in-law?!”
Jaejoong watches this from his corner and turns to Yoochun. “I am sorry,” Yoochun mouths from his corner, and Jaejoong walks up to him and wraps his brother into a hug.
“You didn’t have to do that,” Jaejoong says, squeezing Yoochun.
“I didn’t have to. I wanted to,” Yoochun says, tearing up. “I am sorry, Jae. I shouldn’t have done that, but I swear, I truly am so sorry.”
Jaejoong smiles and hugs Yoochun again. “You’re so silly; I love you.”
“I love you too, Jaejoongie.”
“Now, where did they run off to?”
Yoochun laughs softly. “I have no idea. I thought Changmin was going to run out on me for a minute.”
“He wouldn’t,” Jaejoong says, squeezing Yoochun’s hand. “He loves you way too much.”
+
“Changmin, calm yourself! We can talk about this like normal people!” Kibum yells as he runs.
“If I ever see your face again,” Changmin shouts, running after Kibum. “You’re a dead man.”
Changmin loses Kibum at a turn, and Changmin yells out in frustration and sits down near a park.
“You’ll need this.”
A bottle of water comes into Changmin’s view and Changmin looks up to find Yunho holding it for him. “Thanks,” Changmin huffs and takes the bottle from Yunho’s hand and chugs it down. “What are you doing here? I thought you left.”
“Ah.” Yunho hesitates. “Never mind that. You found out about Kibum huh?”
“Yeah, that asshole. I cannot believe he made me believe that we were best friends? I mean, who does that?”
Yunho nods in understanding. “So, how are things between Yoochun and you?”
“Oh, they’re fantastic; I mean, I would never let go of Yoochun - it’s Jaejoong I feel bad for.”
Yunho smiles faintly at him. “You’re a good man, Changmin.” Yunho pats Changmin’s back. “You really are a good man.”
“Right, I know that. Okay, what do you say we chase after that dirt bag now?”
“Changmin.” Yunho rolls his eyes. “He would have reached the border by now, and I think you have a wedding to go to: your own wedding.”
“Oh fuck. That’s right.” Changmin gears up to run back. “Are you going to be joining me?”
Yunho hesitates and Changmin sighs. “Look, Jaejoong likes you. A lot. And I know that you like him too, so why in hell’s name are you complicating things?”
“It’s - uh, more complicated than that.”
“I refuse to believe it. Don’t make me beat you up; come to my wedding. And plus, I really like you, too, so please.”
Yunho chuckles and shrugs. “Fine, but we have to run. Or you are going to be late for your own wedding,” Yunho says, breaking into a run.
+
The entire ceremony is at halt, eagerly for waiting for the groom to show up; Jaejoong stands out in the front garden, looking out, when he sees Changmin running towards the farmhouse at full speed.
“Hey where - ” Jaejoong’s about to ask, but Changmin cuts him off.
“Can’t talk, gotta run, getting married. Later, Jaejoong.”
Jaejoong laughs as he watches Changmin sprint to the backyard of his house. Though Jaejoong feels bitter about the past, he’s glad; glad Yoochun has someone like Changmin, someone who can control Yoochun without him realizing he is being controlled. Jaejoong feels tears pooling around the edges of his eyes, and he takes a deep breath to push them away. He closes his eyes and leans on the wall; when he opens them again, he spots Yunho walking towards him.
Jaejoong’s breath hitches at the back of his throat, and he feels like he should do something, like he should say something, but he just does not know what. He takes a step toward Yunho’s approaching figure and reaches out for him. “Your shoe laces are untied,” are the first words that come out and Jaejoong wants to kick himself for it.
“What?” Yunho asks, eyes narrowed.
“I thought you left.” Jaejoong’s grip on Yunho’s arm tightens. “I thought you left for good. Your wardrobe was empty, your bags were gone, and I didn’t know what to do - ”
“Jaejoong.”
“- and I am sorry. I am so sorry I acted the way I acted, but you need to understand that it was very hard for me to accept the Kibum had slept with Yoochun while he was engaged to me. I mean, what an asshole - ”
“Jaejoong.”
“- but you’re back, which is great. Are you back for me? Or you brought Changmin back, didn’t you? Are you going to go away now? I mean I know we argue a lot and I have a lot of worries but - ”
Yunho lets out a strangled yell of frustration and holds Jaejoong by the shoulder. “Jaejoong.” Yunho sighs, shuts his eyes, and takes a deep breath. “Jaejoong, I’d rather fight with you for the whole of my life than make love to anyone else.”
Jaejoong stares at Yunho’s face for a moment too long and takes a step forward and hugs the taller man. He buries his face into the crook of Yunho’s neck and kisses it. “You’re an idiot. God, you’re such an idiot.”
“If you’re going to insult me - ”
“And I wouldn’t like you any other way.” Jaejoong pulls back and kisses the tip of Yunho’s lips, and he loves that he has to tip himself a little higher to kiss Yunho completely on the mouth.
“I have to go,” Yunho says, a little dazed after kissing Jaejoong. “I really have to go.”
“No, no, you don’t have to. You just got here. You don’t have to go. Please stay,” Jaejoong all but pleads and holds on to the hem of Yunho’s jacket.
Yunho just smiles and pecks Jaejoong’s cheeks. “I have to,” he says, taking steps backwards. “I am the best man.”

The wedding is a smashing success.
Yoochun looks flushed and happy and in love as he stares up at Changmin. The latter looks at Yoochun with pride and pulls him in closer.
Taeyeon’s sort of, kind of, hit it off with one of Changmin’s college friends. His name is Kim Junsu, and he is adorable with big eyes, a bright smile, and a silly attitude. Everyone present thinks he’s perfect for Taeyeon.
Yunho steals Jaejoong away from all of the relatives, the photographer, nieces, and nephews and takes him to a quiet corner and kisses him till they are breaking for air.
“I left you breathless.” Yunho smiles into Jaejoong’s hair and Jaejoong giggles.
“You leave me breathless all the time. When you smile, when you hold my hand, when you look at me, when you touch me, when you - ”
“Aw, stop. I know I am awesome.”
Jaejoong laughs loudly and slaps Yunho on his arm. “So what now?”
“What?”
“What are you going to do?”
“I am going to kiss you and take you to bed and make sweet, sweet love to you.”
Jaejoong spares Yunho a blush and sighs. “I mean, what about your - job?”
“I quit.”
“Oh - what about - ”
“We’ll worry about it when we get there, Jaejoong,” Yunho says, instantly shutting Jaejoong up. “For now, I want to enjoy you and your company and your stupid comments.”
Jaejoong smiles and cuddles closer to Yunho. “Fine, alright. We’ll worry about that later.”
“Jaejoong.”
“Yes?”
“Will you please be my boyfriend?”
“I thought you’d never ask, Yunho.”
