Going to the Chapel

This is, without a doubt, one of the most insane spur-of-the-moment decisions Meredith Grey has ever made in her impulsive, ridiculous life.

It also makes more sense than a good portion of everything she's done before, and so the minute she separates from Sean, she's taking off for the Compound as quick her feet can carry her. That they agreed to meet in an hour doesn't matter much. An hour isn't really a lot of time. Oh, it can be enough to change all kinds of things, but for her to gather up a maid of honor, an officiant, get in her dress, do her hair and get over to the church, it's no time at all.

She's getting married. They're getting married. There'll be a church, or at least the exterior of one, and a white dress, but it's rushed and breathless and now and that's them all over. They're getting married and all she needs is to grab two people.

She doesn't think much about it, just knows where she's headed, hurrying herself through the door with a broad grin and a sigh of relief. "Oh, good, you're here," she says. "Great. Fantastic, okay, I'm going to need to borrow you for, um... an hour or two."
