The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay

Sep 08, 2004 13:49

I received a call from Ajilon, a staffing agency in San Francisco
whom with I am registered with, regarding a position as an
Administrative Assistant in the catering division at the
Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay.

I accepted the assignment without hesitation for mainly one reason
and one reason alone; the drive over highway 92 toward the shoreline.
If I could drive to Half Moon Bay every day, and work here in a palace
on the cliffs elivated above soothing ocean waves, close to
San Benito House, I'd be happy as a clam.

I must say that hotel employment is surreal. And wearing a suit to work
isn't exactly what I'm accustomed to; but I am enjoying the experience
and the change that it brings.

Since my car is being fixed from an accident 10 days ago, I dropped
Ron off at work at 8:00 and arrived here to the Ritz at 8:30.

Tomorrow Ron is going to SF's flower mart to buy flowers for Jenai's Wedding,
we are storing them in my aunt's garage in her spare refrigerator, and
on Friday wedding bells will ring for the 2 love birds at Marin County's
Pelican Inn.

It's unfortunate that I havent the time to do so but I'd love to drive
up to Daven Port to nab an olloliberry pie for Jenai; it's a tradition
that she and I have to drive up the coast just for pie whenever she's here.

Her wedding coordinator, Ishmael, staed with Ron and I in our guest room/office
last night. We ate Pancho Villa and washed it down with Pacifico Beer (YUM!!!!!!!)

Well, back to the grind; I'll be here at the Ritz for the next couple of weeks:
stay tuned for any gossip regardng celebrity guests.
