ack. I moved locations and in the meantime lj didn't save my draft, so here's a go second time around.

i'm back at school definitely now - we're past that initial here's the syllabus, bugger off and go read some stuff and onward to the actual material. I've had the first class of each course and I'm really excited for all of them and for all the professors i have. some are obviously cooler than others (this always happens, haha), but overall they seem like very interesting people, and I'm eager to learn from them and teach them something in return. :). Of course, I am taking six courses this semester (I'm overloading so that I can graduate at the end of this academic year with an hons spec degree) so it's looking to be a pretty busy time. For those who know me irl know that I usually take on more than I can chew easily, and this semester/year is definitely no different.
I've signed on to be part of the production team for BPC (Big Purple Couch) which is the on campus talk show here at UWO. I've known the host, Phil, since first year, so to be working with him again and his incredible team is very inspiring and exciting. Production meeting on Thursdays if we're not shooting, and we shoot biweekly, so it's looking to be busy but awesome.
On top of this I'm hoping to be helping out with the Chekov play festival here in London. Two of my friends are performers in the plays and I've offered my help backstage, etc. I'm hoping this'll lead to me getting back into performing again, because I really do miss the stage. I'm not the greatest performer, but it's something I enjoy :).
Then, ontop of this, Lia and I are writing a play for Purple Shorts, a short play fest on campus. If your play gets selected then the writer can act as director, etc. Yay directing! I write screenplays all the time, but I've never dabbled with a stage play, so it should be interesting to try this out. Oh, and hopefully joining Theatre Western and finally going to the Comedy Club (I was a member last year but actually didn't end up going because of my stupid schedule).
I'm also attempting to finish writing #Cubicle, which is 11.11 Productions' entry for the LG Film Contest. Yes, Kate and I finally settled on a name for our production co. Originally we were dabbling with the idea of serendipity, because we both believe in some kind of fate, but 11.11 encompasses wishes, luck, dreams, etc, in one, and also the sense of something unexplainable. #Cubicle is shaping up well though, and it should be pretty easy to shoot, which we'll probably end up doing next weekend (mental note - try and not work those days) (mental note #2, call manager to book off). PLUS, we're working on the #ALT trailer soon, but we're pushing the deadline for that back to the end of October. Too much to try and do in one month, and as the LG deadline is Oct 1st, this is the most important one to get done.
OH and in other semi-big news: I found my social life once again! Wee! Kate and I have done so much in the past week - dinner, minigolf, dinner, impromptu photoshoot, popping into a houseparty, and seeing my friend's band AHAHB. AHAHB were incredible - so were the two other bands playing that night at Museum London, which was a pretty neat place. We got to walk around the Museum/art Gallery until it closed at 10pm for free, which is especially exciting after a glass of red.

Wow, reading this back makes me feel tired, but invigorated. This year is going to rock.
