Today has been rather interesting... Topics for discussion, so I do not forget: Stalking, Tradition, Buddha &room, &... Well anything else I think of!!
STALKING
It turns out that my brother, who is 12, has been stalking this 8 yr. old girl that lives behind us. Her father found out that he was leaving her love letters in her treehouse, freaked &came over to rat on him today. I suppose my brother takes after me in more ways than I imagined.
TRADITION
Something I realized today, while I was reading a bumper sticker I found myself staring at on my way to Michael's to pick up supplies for my college attempt, was that tradition is an odd thing. I found out my beliefs on the idea. Said bumper sticker was a Native American pride symbol, w/mocsasins that said Tread soft on my tradition. I suppose pride in your past &heritage is admirable. I am proud to have grown up in California... But the point is that I always think of Fiddler on the Roof at times like this, &tradition just comes w/ a flood of negative feelings. It isn't entirely negative. To cling to tradition and say that you can still function in society the same way your ancestors did hundreds of years ago... Well, hey, I can't say no, but good luck getting along. :-/ There are many positive aspects here, though. Living life w/ pride that you are who you are due to your past, who led to your existance... That is beautiful. But is that tradition, per se?? Good questions.
BUDDHA &my ROOM
My room is finally complete. It looks much bigger now, I love it. There is a platform for my little Buddha &my candles... It's brilliant, I think. I must take a picture one day. My room smells of jasmine. It's lovely. Very satisfying.
I plan on throwing a huge party sometime this summer, ideally when Kasey is here, if she is ever here. I plan on bringing her back w/ me after I visit CA, but will I ever get there?? Who knows. But the party will be huge, &brilliant &good w/ good music (live music??) &good people. It's a goal of mine this summer... Hold me to this.
There is supposedly a tornado warning right now... So I'll cut this entry as short as possible in case the power cuts off. Love to you all.
