Finding my "center" has been my core focus this week. Since my final round with Coinbase last Wednesday (California 2049), I've had a lot to unpack. My level of unpreparedness was embarrassing. It was a senior role and the feedback that I got was disheartening. They were being honest. My answers weren't succinct. My presentation was sub par. Most of this wasn't a surprise. It happens. You're unemployed for 6 months. Living a life of retirement and you forget to exercise. The world pulls away from you and despite the ever-evolving world of technology, behavior is what sets high performers apart from low. Most of it sticks, but in this case, I was a low. Had I done this differently or that. That is where I'm at today. Picking apart the inadequacies of my professionalism and piecing it back together. It's a necessary wake up call. "Hello! You've been complacent". The message came like an order because my next step was an about face. We'll see how quickly I can recoop.
