to all the people getting ready for back to school, i'm glad i'm not you. while high school was fun and all i can't help this overwhelming happy feeling i get while seeing back to school commercials knowing i won’t be going back.
thinking back i can't help but wonder if all kids under the age of 18 are idiots or if it was just a specialty at my school. i remember sitting in this class, textiles or something stupid like that, with ALL girls. i got stuck in a group five of them for a project (if cutting out pictures of cute babies can be considered a project) and one of them brought up that the moon landing was faked. okay i love hearing conspiracy theories and all so i wanted to see where she was going with this. she goes on to say "on the video of the moon landing there’s shadows on the moon." i respond with a "yeah? and?" she goes "well there's no light on the moon!" all four of the other girls give a resounding "yeah!" the encouragement of her peers urges her to go on and impress them with an intelligent "yeah the moon's too far away, the sun’s light can't reach it!" all of them, not even a blink after she says this. i was this close to blowing up, but it was first period and i always got called to the principal’s office first thing in the morning and i think the girls where already kind of scared of me. i'm just like "so does the moon just glow by itself or what?" that one was a stumper, she had no answer.
once again i'm so glade i'm done with high school
