I <3 Arizona

So today is primary day in Arizona, and things are vicious. Everyone has been hit by scandal, everyone is funded by shady groups, and there are more campaign signs than I've seen for any election, ever.

Here are some classic moments from my favorite campaigns.

The son of Dan Quayle, Benny boy here was a regular contributer to TheDirty, which is perhaps the most vicious, sexually-charged, homophobic, and misogynist site you'll see today. In one of his campaign mailers, he actually rented a family to pose with him to make it look like he had beautiful children.

He also produced this gem, which I can't watch enough:

Meet Pam Gordon. She thinks that firing a machine gun during a campaign ad will win her votes. In Arizona, she's right.

"Fiscal conservative" Democratic candidate J.D. Hayworth never really stood a chance, but doing an infomercial on how to get free government money was just brilliant. Some of his other brilliant moments? Claiming that gay marriage would lead to men marrying horses, that he was scared of vampires, and that the U.S. never declared war on the Nazis.

John McCain's team took the high road and released a spoof of pretty much everything stupid J.D. Hayworth has ever said. It's actually kinda funny.

Speaking of McCain, check out this cheese-tastic piece of crap, starring white supremacist Sheriff Paul Babeu. Bonus points if you can tell me what McCain's actual stance on immigration is.
